It's the start of the new school year. I'm a highschooler now! I walked into school with my cousin Ethan and his friend Benny. We're all in the same grade. The other day Benny came over and he and Ethan talked about how important the first week of school was since their "whole future social lives depended on it". I honestly thought that was a load of crap. Benny had brought some dorky goggles to school and he wanted to show Ethan them at lunch. I was NOT going to be there when that happened.

The boys and I parted ways so I made my way to my new locker and put in the combination. After putting my backpack away and taking out all my items I need for my first class of the day, I shut my locker. "Hey there good-lookin", a blonde haired boy with glasses says to me. I have no idea how long he has been standing there and that honestly creeps me out. "I'm not interested in whatever you have to say to me blondie". The boy puts on a fake pout. "Come on, Pleaseeee. I'd love to hang out with a babe like you".  "Not interested", I say unamused by his antics. I finally decide he isn't worth that much of my time and make my way to my first class, Math. Great. I sit myself down toward the back and pull out all my supplies for the class.

Halfway through the class period I felt eyes on me. I tried to ignore it but I finally gave in and turned over to see the same blonde from earlier staring at me. When will he get the hint that im NOT interested in him. He notices me looking back at him and shoots me a smile and a wink. Absolutely not. I turn back around in a huff after giving him a dirty look and rolling my eyes back at him. I pay attention for the rest of class.

                           - -Time skip to lunch--

Finally! I think to myself. While I'm standing further back in the lunch line I see my dorky cousin and his friend. Benny actually pulled out the glasses. Holy shit, Ethans face was priceless while he tried to pull them from his friend. After a few seconds of him and Benny playing tug-of-war, Ethan shot back running into a girl. "Ah! Dork!" the girl yelled at my idiot cousin. "Thank you so much," and she walked away in a hurry.

After getting my lunch, My eyes were searching the cafeteria for a place to eat. Finally, they landed on the girl from earlier and before I knew it my legs were making my way towards her table. "Do you guys mind if I sit here?" I questioned. The blonde girl replied " No not at all, Have a seat."

"I'm Y/n" I said, While setting my tray of food down.

"I'm Erica, and that's my friend Sarah, '' The blonde said.

I turned toward the more quiet girl and said "I'm sorry about your shirt, My cousin is kind of a goof." I hoped that would cheer her up. It seemed like it did because she smiled and started to laugh " That dork is your cousin?" It almost sounded like she was in disbelief. " Yes, unfortunately, but he and his family took me in after my parents passed away." I didn't want to bring the mood down so I said, "Are you guys free this weekend?"

Erica looked excited and It seemed like she was about to accept the offer but said " I actually can't. I have to babysit for the Morgans."

"Holy Shit." I say nearly choking on my drink. " Im Y/n Morgan and my cousin is Ethan Morgan"

The girls start to laugh at this crazy coincidence.

"What are the odds of that happening?" Sarah says.

After a little while of talking, Benny is making his way over to our table.

"You're Erica and you're babysitting for the Morgans this weekend, correct?" Benny says slyly.

Erica replies playing along " Yeah, How did you know?"

"I happen to know one of their kids, He's actually sitting right there" Benny points to Ethan across the room, Who is hiding behind his arms most likely embarrassed.
