Previously we saw Jaune having an intense nightmare where all his classmates were dead, he was running away from someone that was mercilessly killing many of them. He then proceeded to head towards Beacon, where he saw all the students along with their professors mercilessly slain and dead. Jaune headed towards Ozpin, the only one alive, as he tried to speak something, his head was decapitated. He then sees that it was none other than himself that did it. He wakes up from his nightmare, as he realizes that he was back in normal. He slept in his classroom as he woke up, he then heads to brush himself and has his food as soon as possible. However as fate had it, Yang got in his way and tormented him before heading back. Jaune then was sitting for Port's class however nothing was going his way, and he turned a blind eye, to his beating and torment, he will never forgive them and he will make sure everyone pays. After a while he gets a call from his parents, upon reaching the place, he sees his parents as they question him on why he had done it, he tried explaining it but none of that was happening, they eventually disowned him and left him with nothing. Jaune was starting to lose it. During Glynda's classroom, he was made to fight against Cardin, as he moves emotionless, he had no weapon, no armor nothing. Despite this, the fight had began, Cardin decided to torment him, and make him suffer, however the voice that was inside his head decided to tell him to let it go, to not hold back, to make many fear him. He decided to do what the voice spoke to him, and he let's loose, pushing Cardin the man who made him suffer the hardest back, he then brought out a red sword as many were in disbelief, Ruby yelled in disbelief, seeing this, as Jaune eventually disarmed him, leaving Cardin at Jaune's mercy who begged Jaune for a second chance, however Jaune believed that saving him was a mistake and goes in for a kill. He uses his slash to deal massive damage to Cardin.
Jaune had slashed downwards, as everyone went silent, a blood slash was formed on Cardin as he screamed in pain, blood gushed out from his wound, as Jaune noticed the slash was enough to penetrate the aura, completely shattering it, he also noticed the internal organs which were completely ruptured, that being the liver as well as the stomach that were completely slashed.
Cardin passed out due to the pain, as Jaune spoke
Jaune: Well aren't you lucky.....
Jaune turned up to see Glynda on her knees, as he had a dark grin, as she got up and headed towards the microphone she announced. Glynda was the one to protect Cardin, she expended all of her aura, but that was not enough, her aura shattered, as well as she felt immense pain, she managed to still withstand and get up, Jaune gave her a glare knowing that it was her doing and he would be dealing with her later.
Glynda: The wi-winner is J-Jaune....
Jaune walked away as many booed at him, however having enough he unleashed a vertical slash towards the wall, aimed at the students, silencing everyone.
