PERCY
It was one of those days that I kinda wished that my Dad wasn't an Olympian God. Like, normally if you told your Dad you had gotten a girl pregnant, the worst he could do was smack you upside the head and kick you out for a bit. But no, I had to deal with the possibility that mine would shout "I smote thee!" and *Poof!* one pile of Percy dust. There was also the fact that Athena was bound to find out, and that sure as Hades would not be pretty. A pile of Percy dust would be a blessing when that came around. Oh well, might as well take the leap of faith and tell him... "Hey, um, Dad? There's two things you should probably know..." Poseidon looked at me suspiciously "Yes? What would that be Son?" Deep breaths Percy, you are not going to faint this time! "Well, you see Dad, - I - Erm - Maybe we - If you could - ..." Dad grunted in exasperation "Percy just spit it out already!" I close my eyes and braced myself for the inevitable annihilation; "We are kinda under cover and no one knows we are Demigods, also these wizard people are really annoying, especially this 'Ron' guy who tried to split up me and Annie but anyways... AnnabethispregnantPLEASEDON'TKILLME!" I said as quickly as I could in a very manly voice which was about an octave higher than normal. I closed my eyes, waiting for the raging storm of pure Godly wrath that would most likely be raining down on me anytime now. But what I actually got, was even more terrifying than I could have imagined. I heard a slight intake of breath, then, "I'm going to be a Grandfather...?" Experimentally, I pried open one eye, to see something that I never though I would. A misty eyed God. Yes my friends, Poseidon, Lord of the Seas and Earthshaker was tearing up. 'You're not going to kill me...? If you are would you mind if I start running because- " *Oof!* I was pulled into the most intense Bear-Hug the word has ever seen, Hades, this even put Tyson to shame. Poseidon grasped my shoulders and held me at an arms length away from him, turning me one way and another, like he was trying to look at all of me at the same time. "I knew there was something going on with that Aphrodite! she has not stopped skipping since last week, and she even considered letting couples fall in love without any horrible twists and turns..." In a more confident voice I asked slowly, as not to ruin the moment, because, hey, sue me! I'm a sucker for those 'cute movie moments' that happen so rarely in my life. They are usually more... depressing and violent, like something out of '300' or 'Disaster Movie'. "So... you're not angry? Like I was expecting much more shouting... and hitting... and mainly death on my part" Dad looked at me like I had grown another head, "Angry? Son the only thing I could possibly be angry about is this 'Ron' you speak of trying to separate my son and future daughter-in-law! Also, when is the child due?" I had really been hoping he wouldn't ask this, as I was still kinda confused myself...
"One week?!" Dad looked positively flabbergasted "Surely someone has noticed Annabeth being... you know... larger? I mean they are inferior beings but they can't be that moronic?" The names Ronald and Harry instantly popped into my mind, but I shoved them away. "Aphrodite decided Annabeth and I needed to have had the baby before this 'Wizard War' or some shit thats about to go down. So, she sped everything up, and used so voodoo stuff to hide the... enlargement. Apollo has agreed to deliver the baby here, should be around Thursday" I sat down heavily on a tree stump, my head falling in my hands. I whispered softly, hoping Dad wouldn't hear my voice cracking, "Dad... I don't know what to do. Am I ready to be a father? I mean I am only 19... and will I even be a good Dad? I mean I only met you seven years ago! And before that you weren't exactly the best Father, No offence-" Poseidon sat down beside me and wrapped his arms around me. "Son, just by hearing you worry so much about being a good father, that only further proves about how good you will be. I have faith in you, but if you would like, I can stay here with you, as it is Friday already..." I looked up at him, pure awe and admiration shining in my eyes and I didn't even try to cover it up. A God, none the less was willing to stay among mortals for a week just to be there for his son and pregnant girlfriend, whose mother was his arch-nemesis. I had never respected anyone, man, mortal, creature, anything more than I did my father. I jumped up faster than a flash of light, and wrapped my arms around his middle, it felt odd to nearly be as tall as him, I had hit 6 foot 3 but he was still a towering 6 foot 7. "You sure you wouldn't mind? I mean I get it if-" Dad shook his head, "Percy it would mean the world to be here when my grandson or daughter is born. At least I would have that over Athena!" I chuckled, and started back to the clearing where everyone was waiting. "So Dad, still think you could teach that lesson?"
