"I want to work here. This food is amazing. Do you think they'll look at me all weird if I go for seconds?", Briana said making Jeff laugh. It kind of gave me a wake-up call to stop looking at the Chef.

He was nothing but perfection. Is it even legal to look that hot? "Earth to Amy! What are you looking at?", she asked trying to look in the direction I was looking but the Chef had already disappeared into the kitchen.

"She has hots for the Chef", Jeff said raising a brow at me as if daring me to deny it. I wasn't going to. I never entertained a shy bone in my body especially when it came to my sex life. "He's kind of cute though and those tattoos, I love a man with tattoos, they tend to be full of surprises if you know what I mean", Briana said biting her lip, making me laugh while Jeff ended up choking on his juice.

When we were returning the plates, I found him laughing at something another cook said and he just looked like a masterpiece. He walked up to us and smiled at Briana. It hurt my feelings to see that I did not get his attention, I craved it.

"Did you enjoy your meal?", he asked still looking at Briana and Jeff. Was there something wrong with me? Brianna has a killer body compared to me and even though I had extra fat here and there I believed that men had different preferences, I'm just hoping he was not into the size zeros. "Yes Chef...", "It's Chef Liam", he said smiling at the two like I wasn't standing with them. "Well Chef Liam, me and my colleagues enjoyed lunch very much and we cannot wait for tomorrow", she said I couldn't take it anymore. I walked back to the conference room ready for my next session.

I have been trying to get an Uber for the past twenty minutes and still, nothing was coming up. It frustrated me that I found myself cursing and regretting extending the Q&A session at the end of the training. It was the fifth day and people were catching up because they were used to the team exercises.

I love my job don't get me wrong but I guess this time around Jeff was not in the gentlemanly mood. "Fuck!", I cursed when I refreshed the App and still there was no driver near me.

"Is everything ok?", someone asked and when I turned the first thing, I saw was his bright blonde hair then his blue eyes, my eyes settled on his lips, which were moving but for some reason, his words were not important to me until he waved his hand in front of my face making take a step back.

"What?", I asked annoyingly making him chuckle. "Do you need a ride?", he asked and I nodded. "Let's go", he said urging me to follow him to the outside parking lot. He took out the remote key and unlocked a Maroon GMC Terrain. I got in as he placed a nice-looking leather bag on the back seat. I looked at the name, memorising it to know what it was. The car smelled like vanilla and it was very neat. "Put in the address", he said after pressing the start button. I did as told then put on my seatbelt. The drive was silent, it's not like I was motivated to talk anyway, he had been avoiding me the whole week so I figured, why bother?

"This is it", he said as he stopped in front of my bungalow. "Thank you. Have a good night", I said in a hurry then got out of the car. I heard a door being shut when I turned, he was right in front of me. He pulled me in a hungry kiss that made me feel like I was floating. I've never kissed a white man before but am glad he's my first.

I dropped my purse on the ground rushing to run my fingers across his amazing shoulders and then hair. His hair was so soft which made me want more contact so I pulled him in further deepening the kiss. It was his turn to moan but he pulled back as fast as he rushed to me. It was like he had just woken up from a dream and found out I was not the person he thought I was.

"Did I do something wrong?", I asked trying to understand him. "No... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that. I'm sorry", he said then rushed back to his car leaving me stranded with more questions than answers. "What the hell!", I said to myself as I picked up my purse and walked into my house quietly.

"He did what?", Briana asked the moment I told her what happened. We always spent Saturday mornings together and this time around it was for work. We had to prepare and share the weekly reports with Ada so that she could share them with the Burhan and Sons' Management team. She was an amazing Boss but strict and always time-sensitive. We were allowed to conduct training using any method we wanted but when it came to results, she only accepted perfection and nothing less.

As a woman who started the business on her own, she was a tough cookie. Our clientele list only had businesses earning not less than 8 figures a year. Every corporation that has the right mind knows to call Eternal Creation Consulting when they want to improve team efficiency. "He just bolted after giving me the kiss that surpasses all the kisses that I've had since I was born", I said typing furiously. "Ok I get it now stop murdering your laptop before Ada murders you", she said sipping her smoothie.

"Briana, something isn't right with him and I don't know if it's an Ex-issue or what... when he looked at me it was like he thought I was someone else. I don't know how to explain this but there is no way that I'm letting this go without an explanation", I said with determination. "Or sex, am I right or am I right?", Briana said making me laugh. She knew me too well but there was no way I was going to give up on Liam so easily. I want him to be mine and he will be.

"Once we are done here can you come with me to the grocery store? There's no food in this house, if an apocalypse happens right now, am dead... that's how empty this kitchen is", I told Briana who laughed so hard I saw tears running down her cheeks. "Are you done?", I asked with a raised brow, instead of answering it made her laugh even harder. Great my friend just lost her mind.
