I'm at the airport waiting for Liam and his gang. I really wanted to go with him and share the moment with him but work was all over the place. Tate being Tate, said yes immediately and joined him along with Sandy. Knowing that he had support from the people who were always there for him gave me peace of mind.

I was glued to my Michelin Instagram page the whole day. The look on Liam's face when he was being interviewed was just priceless.

This is his first award so I know for a fact that it's a big deal. Mason and everyone at the restaurant are waiting for him too. They've prepared a surprise party for him. All I can say is, that everyone is excited. Well, not everyone, I can't speak for his family considering I've sent invites to them but no one bothered to reply to me.

When the arrival door opened, the first person I saw was Tate laughing at something Sandy said. It made me smile too. It got bigger when my eyes met Liam's, I started running towards him. He opened his arms and welcomed me. I hugged him with all my might, kissing the hell out of him.

"Why don't I get that kind of welcome?", Tate asked Sandy, who only giggled. I pulled back from the kiss and looked at his handsome face. His eyes were still closed. He was still living the moment. "We did it", was all he said then opened his eyes. They were filled with happiness. This is the happiest that I've ever seen him. "No Chief Liam. You did it and I'm so fucking proud of you", I said then pulled him in another kiss that lasted way longer than the one before.

We walked to the parking lot and loaded the bags in the truck. We got in and I took them to the restaurant. "Baby, we're so tired, can we just go home instead? I really want to sleep", Liam complained making me smile. "Noup! You had your moment, your employees need to have theirs. Please put your Michelin coat on. They just want a group photo and we'll be on the way besides, I wanna be the first to put the trophy on the trophy shelf", I said making him laugh. "Yes ma'am", he said then started looking for the coat.

"Surprise!!", everyone shouted as he walked into the restaurant. It was still rush hour so even the customers were surprised. Mason took the mic and requested the whole restaurant's attention.

"Good afternoon everyone. We apologise for interrupting your meals but as part of our success we would like to request a moment of your time to celebrate our first Michelin award!", he finished and the cheering was unbelievable.

Tate had his phone on, recording everything. It felt amazing, people wanted to take pictures with him and he looked so happy.

I took the trophy from him and went to his office. I recorded the moment for him with a huge smile on my face and when I turned he was also recording me. "You're so cray cray", I said with a giggle. "That I am, but you know that already", he said with a wink and I found myself blushing.

He walked towards me slowly. When he was right in front of me he stopped recording and threw the phone on the sofa bed without looking away from my eyes. "You're amazing. You know that?", he asked and all I could do was swallow hard. He kissed my forehead then my lips making me moan as his arms circled our me. I melted into him. It was about to get hotter when the door was opened and a cheerful Tate walked into the office. "So that's the trophy shelf huh?... Oh, come on! Save it for later, your customers want a speech. Let's go", he said while pulling Liam away. He looked so pissed making me laugh.

"Hold on a minute. I have to get rid of my boner", he whined making Tate stop. "Geez man! How horny are you?", he asked with a smirk making Liam close his eyes and adjust his pants. "Let's go", Liam said then walked out of the office. I followed them to the dining area.

He stood by the Amaryllis garden as Mason gave him the mic. "Hello everyone. I would like to...", he stopped with his eyes glued to the entrance and when I turned, it was Mark and Rose standing with another man and woman that I had never seen before. They had smiles on their faces. Liam cleared his throat. We returned our attention to him. "Sorry about that, I guess I still can't believe that we have our first award. Two Michelin stars. I still feel like I'm in a dream and I will be waking up soon. All I can say is, I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you guys so much", he said then returned the mic to Mason.

"Well I'll be damned", Tate said as he watched his young brother approach their siblings. "Who are they?", I asked and Sandy smiled. "That's Mark's wife and Rose's husband. They rarely show up. This is a big deal", she said with excitement. "Oh, but they didn't come for the family dinner the other day, are they not on good terms with Tate?", I asked. "It's complicated", was all Tate said. He didn't look happy, more like angry.

We remained on the spot and watched as he interacted with them. It looked casual with a couple of handshakes and hugs. They turned to us suddenly making my eyes go wide, we were caught staring. They started walking towards us with the mysterious woman holding onto Liam's hand. They looked close.

"Tate", "Logan", was all they said to each other. "Hi, I'm Miranda. It's a pleasure to finally meet you", the woman said. "Uh, Amaryllis. Nice to meet you too", I said knowing very well I sounded unsure. "Don't worry, we'll catch up sooner than you think. I'm Logan", the other guy said then offered his hand. I shook it. He looked so formal which matched Rose's character perfectly. I turned to Liam for answers and only got a weak smile. I knew we were going to talk about everything later.

We stayed at the restaurant for an extra hour then finally gave in and left.

When we reached his apartment, I prepared a hot bath for him which got a nice make-out session then he went straight to bed. No sex no dinner. I really felt bad for him.

I was about to join him in bed when his phone started ringing, I reached for it and it was his Mum. I took a couple of breaths, debating whether or not I should answer, and finally made up my mind. I had no right to answer his phone, nor did I care. I was going to defend my man.
