Girlfriend and movie night

Valkyrie sat on the couch in Gordon's house with tears in her eyes "Oh, and by the way Scarlett is my girlfriend now" he had said, nothing else. They hadn't spoken in a week, and its all because of her. Scarlett Blaze. Ever since she had saved Valkyrie and Skulduggery from Billy-Ray Sanguine, she had been all Skulduggery ever talked about, Scarlett this. Scarlett that. He was so focused on her that he missed sanctuary meetings, he didn't spend time with Val, his whole world now revolved around her. Valkyrie did, however like Scarlett. She was a elemental like herself and she was full of life and happiness. But although they were friends Valkyrie had to admit, she was jealous. She was jealous at the fact she was all Skulduggery ever thought about. But most of all she was jealous that Skulduggery had picked Scarlett over her. Yep, Valkyrie Cain loved Skulduggery Pleasant.

It was a lonely Friday night for Val. Skulduggery would usually come round on Fridays, but of course he was yet again, with Scarlett. Valkyrie sat alone watching Corpse bride, it was her favourite movie and had watched it many times before. Valkyrie decided that she would order a pizza and invite Tanith round to watched it with her, so she got up and made her way over to the phone and called Tanith's number. After a few rings, she picked up "Hey Tan"

"Hey Val! Whats up?"

"You wanna come round and watch movies with me? Ill order a pizza!"

"Um, of course, be there in 10!"

"Kay, bye"

"Bye" with that Val ended the call and dialled the pizza service and ordered an extra large pizza with chips and 2 cokes. She went to her room and got changed into a black tank top and some grey adidas track bottoms, and made her way back down, where she heard a knock at the door. She opened it and there stood the pizza man, with her order "Um, be one sec let me just get my money" the pizza guy nodded as she ran into the kitchen to get her purse. She rushed back where Tanith was just climbing of her bike. She paid the man and got their food, Tanith helped her carry it in. They lay the food out and played the movie, "So, how are ya?" Tanith asked as she took a big bite out of the pizza "Im good, you?"

"Oh, im fine. Hey don't you and Skul watch movies on Friday?" Tanith asked with her mouth half full, "Yeah, but he's with Scarlett"

"Oh so that's what your so upset about" Val had told Tanith that she had a crush on Skulduggery a while back, "Yeah, its just that his whole world revolves around her, he doesn't even care about me anymore, for example the other day I was attacked by a vampire along with Scarlett. I had a chunk of flesh missing from my neck and she had a few cuts, and he was Fussing over her not even looking at me! It was like I wasn't even there" Val finished her rant and took her first bite out of her pizza, "Don't worry Val, he'll be back to normal soon"

"I hope so" with that they both turned to the movie and sung along to 'remains of the day'. When the song finished they giggled and finished the pizza. They were mid conversation when a knock came from the door. Valkyrie got up and went to answer it. When she opened the door she saw Skulduggery standing there with his arm around Scarlett's waist holding her close, "Hey guys whats up" Valkyrie asked politely as possible "Well, we were wondering if we could stay over tonight as we have to be at the sanctuary early tomorrow for a case" Skulduggery said "What case? You never told me about a case!" Valkyrie said and narrowed her eyes "Ah, well yes, um..I've asked Scarlett to come with me on this case, so you don't need to come" Skulduggery said with a slightly nervous tone "Oh" Valkyrie said, she could already feel the tears that were about to spill from her eyes. Skulduggery had replaced her, she thought it was 'Until the end' that's what they said "Well, im sorry but im afraid you cant stay as Tanith and me are having a sleep over and watching movies"

"Oh well that's ok we'll just leave earlier in the morning, wont we love?" He said and asked Scarlett "We will!" with that she kissed him and said "Until the end" with a grin and Skulduggery replied "Until the end" Valkyrie now had tears rolling down her eyes so she slammed the door and ran into the living room where Tanith was, she had been listening to everything. She ran to Val and hugged her while she cried onto Tanith's shoulder "Shhh, its ok Val. Shh" She tried to sooth her. "He replaced me Tanith, Until the end they said to each other. I thought me and Skulduggery were until the end, not Scarlett and Skulduggery!" she sobbed into Taniths shoulder. Tanith lead her back to the couch where they lay down and Val eventually fell asleep, 'When I next see him im going o rip him to shreads for making Val cry' Tanith thought, and she too fell asleep. Outside Skulduggery and Scarlett were making out in the Bentley, without a care in the world!
