Tanith's POV

Me and Val had just stopped talking about how we were going to stop Scarlett when the phone rang. I picked up my phone and looked at the caller ID, it was Skul, so I answered it "Hey Skul whats up?" I asked and I heard a sob through the phone "Skul? You ok?"

"T....Tanith, Ghastly......he's....he's been shot and its....not looking good."

"W...what?" With that I broke down into tears and so did Skul from what I could hear. I ended the call and Val came in and broke down too. Erskine had texted her. She walked up too me and wrapped her arms around me while we cried into each others shoulders. After a moment Val raised her head "Scarlett" she whispered and looked at me scared, "We need to get to the others now!" I said and jumped up off the floor and sprinted out of the door, sword in hand. Val was the first to get outside so she jumped on the back of the bike and waited for me. When I got out I turned the engine on and sped down to the sanctuary.

When we got there I parked and jumped of with Val and headed for the sanctuary, that's when Val collapsed "VAL!" I screamed and looked down and saw a bullet hole right in the middle of the stomach "T...Tanith.....help." She whispered. I didn't need to be told twice so I picked her up and ran into the sanctuary. I sprinted over to Kenspeckle's office where Ghastly and Erskine probably were "KENSPECKLE HELP ME!" I screamed through the sanctuary. I turned and saw Kenspeckle outside his office talking to Scarlett about Ghastly. I snarled and Kenspeckle turned and saw Val. He gasped and rushed over to her "Get here in there now, she doesn't have long left." He said quickly, so I ran into the room he told me to go into and placed her on the bed next to Ghastly. Skul and Erskine weren't there so I sat down next to Val and held her hand while Kenspeckle got to work.

It was an hour later when Kenspeckle finally finished working on Val. Suddenly the door was blown of its hinges and Scarlett came walking in "Oh, im so sorry about your friend, but she deserved it" she said with a evil smirk, I snarled and lunged at her, but before I could do anything she shot me, and I fell to the floor clutching the wound "Pathetic." she said before walking out the door. I was gasping for breath when I heard a voice "Tanith? Val?" it was Ghastly "G...Gha....Ghastly.....h....help....ple....please." I said as loud as I could. Ghastly suddenly jumped out of bed and ran over to Tanith "HELP I NEED KENSPECKLE NOW!" he roared as he lifted me up and put me on the bed. Kenspeckle came rushing in and said "How?" Ghastly looked at me for answers "S....Scar.....Scarlett" Ghastly gasped and looked at Kenspeckle who just moved him out the way and got to work on his third bullet wound of the day.

Ghastly POV

I called Skul and told him about Scarlett and he said she would be dead by the end of the night. I just stayed with Tanith and Val, I sat in the middle of there two beds and held both of there hands. I suddenly felt sleepy so I just got comfortable and went to sleep.

I awoke to a beeping noise, but I thought it was a dream so I went back to sleep, but then the beeping stopped and was now sounded like a heat monitor failure. It was then when I realised it was a heart monitor failure sound. My eyes shot open and looked in the direction of the sound, It was Val. I jumped up and ran over to her and yelled "VAL! NO< PLEASE NO! DONT LEAVE ME! KENSPECKLE HELP PLEASE!" tears were now streaming down my eyes and Kenspeckle ran in and went to Val, and put a hand on her heart. He looked as if he was going to cry. But he just shook his head and looked down "No...NO! SHE CANT BE DEAD! SHE CANT BE!" I yelled and collapsed to the floor crying "Ghastly?" I heard a voice from behind me, it was Tanith "She's dead" I whispered that's when Tanith broke down and was now screaming with tears. Kenspeckle was even crying now, that's something I thought id never see, but he was like a Granddad to Val. Arms wrapped around my shoulder and Tanith collapsed on the floor with me and we both cried.

Valkyrie Cain was dead.
