Michelle woke up rather early on the Sunday before she starts school the next day. On the Friday Joyce and Michelle had a meeting at Hawkins Middle School, she was going to be starting the 8th grade their and Michelle was nervous, she knew her accent would make her stand out, and she was prepared for that, or so she would like to believe. Today Will was taking his cousin to the wheelers to meet the party, He wanted Michelle to know a few more people before starting school and Michelle was more than greatful for her cousin so this for her.

Michelle got dressed into a pair of black jeans with a white culture club tee and she popped her denim jacket onto her bed to put on before she goes out.. seeing as the time was still early Michelle decided to read once she was dressed, she didn't want to disturb anyone and she wasn't a good cook so she couldn't really make her sister's pancakes which she loved more than she could even put into words. Clara Michelles' sister always said she would teach Michelle how to make the pancakes which she loved so much but, that never happened.

Michelle was sat with her knees brought into her chest as she read her book, she had chosen 'a wrinkle in time' which she had started on the plane, she was gripped and knew she would definitely start the second book after she finished, nerves filled her stomach as she thought about meeting Will's friends. Michelle had been reading for a good hour and half when the smell of her older cousin making breakfast filled her nostrils but she didn't move, she couldn't stop reading in the middle of a chapter... let alone in the middle of a page.

"Ellie are you awake?" Their was a knock at my door and Will's voice came out from the outside of my room.

"I'm awake, you can come in" Michelle said not looking up from her book. The door opened and Will entered and sat in front of Michelle on her bed as she finished the chapter she was reading.

"How are you?" Will asked.

"I'm fine, nervous for meeting your friends. I don't want things to go wrong. I had these two friends back home who had moved to England with their parents, they were bullied because their accent made them stick out." Michelle said before she paused

"And it's not like I'm saying your friends will bully me because my English accent will make me stick out. It's just worrying me that tomorrow, when I start school people will find some way to bully me" Michelle than admitted to her cousin.

"If anyone bullies you then they are no better than the ones that bullied your friends back in England" Will said softly to Michelle

"And starting a new school is terrifying me. I'm freaking out about starting a new school because it'll all be different from my school in England, for one I'm not going to be in year 9 but 8th grade which I already can't get used too but i will have too. And I'm going on so I'm sorry" Michelle said to Will while biting her lip gently

"I'll be with you through it all Ellie' your my cousin, starting school in a brand new country, you don't know many people and you need me right now" Will said to Michelle who nodded slowly

"Your right" Michelle just said without another word.

"So mom has agreed to let me bike to Mike's because I'm with you, I thought you could bike too or you could use your skateboard" Will smiled as he changed the subject

"I'll bike. I don't think I'd keep up skating" Michelle laughed lightly, Michelle knew she wouldn't keep up if she rode her skateboard. The two cousins smiled as they talked for a little longer before breakfast was going to be ready.

"Will" Michelle said as her cousin was about to leave the room

"Yes?" Will said in more like a question as the phone begins to ring. It was early so Michelle was curious to who was ringing but then again she knew it was none of her business.
