Hongjoong and Seonghwa were walking around the marketplace. They both had a good night's sleep and were looking for something to do. Hongjoong was thinking about what Seonghwa asked him the other day:
"Where are you going? What's your goal?"
The words played over and over again in his head. Suddenly, he remembered something.
"That's it!" He exclaimed.
Seonghwa looked over at him.
"What is it?" He asked.
Hongjoong flung his satchel off his shoulders, opened it up and dug through it. Seonghwa watched in confusion as Hongjoong frantically searched through his bag. After a moment of rummaging around, Hongjoong smiled.
"Come over here." He said, tugging on Seonghwa's sleeve.
He guided him to an alley behind a building where no one else was.
"What's going on?" Seonghwa asked.
"I have something I almost forgot to show you." Hongjoong replied.
He reached into his bag and pulled something out. It was a crystal. A small, black and orange cube with a white number six on it. It was glowing very brightly, lighting up the dark space they were in.
"Wow..." Seonghwa said, amazed, "What is it?"
"I...honestly don't know. I found it a while back when I was adventuring in the desert. It was poking out of the sand, and as soon as I touched it, it started glowing like this and the number seven appeared. I've had it for years and I still don't know what it does, but it glows very brightly when you're near it."
Seonghwa examined the crystal.
"Hmm...maybe it's connected to us somehow." He said.
He reached out and touched the crystal. It started to glow very brightly. Seonghwa was amazed; he had never seen anything like it before. He looked at the number six on the front of the crystal.
"Didn't you say that six was a seven before?" He asked.
Hongjoong looked at the number.
"Actually...yeah, it was a seven, not a six." Hongjoong said, "...wait...that's it! I know what the number means!"
Hongjoong held up the crystal.
"When I first found this crystal, it had a seven on it, but when you joined me, it became a six"
"So...what does that mean?"
"It means that the crystal is looking for someone. And when we find them, the number will go down!"
Seonghwa partially understood what Hongjoong meant, but he was also curious.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's find the next person!" He said.
Hongjoong nodded and followed Seonghwa back to the marketplace.
