Dear Diary,

Now I shall continue what happened yesterday.

"Soo. What happened?" Lacey said, scooting closer to me.

"Nothing much; he just asked me the most random questions."

"I saw you guys through the window; it looked like you were about to kiss." She then started to laugh. "It also looked like you guys were fighting for dominance."

"Well, I was not going to let him kiss me, nor was I going to let him intimidate me."

"Arie was not trying to intimidate you. My brother only does that to other guys."

"So what was he doing?"

"He wants to see if you like him too." I then started to think about it.

"Was he trying to see if my pupils would grow?"

"Yup! My brother has weird ways of doing things. But go easy on him. So many people have used him in the past and have discriminated him for being "strange" and unapproachable. We didn't grow up in the best conditions. Even girls would hook up with him and leave when he said he didn't have experience."

"Does he have experience?"

"No, he told me they just left immediately and blamed him for "leading them on."

"Oh, so that's why he asked me that."

"He hasn't dated anyone in his life. But he is very loyal, and be careful if you break a promise."

"Why?" Now, I was curious.

"Well, once he got caught attacking a guy who promised he would bring our dad back when he was nine. He went to jail for two days."

"That reminds me of when my cousins got caught for spray painting and went to jail for three hours."

"Well, rush hour is about to start; many teenagers like to come here after school." I hadn't even realized there was a high school nearby.

"Okay, I'll see you another time then; bye."

"Bye."

With that, I left and walked across the street to a bookshop. It looked inviting. I hope they have the book I've been looking for since forever. I walked in, and the man at the front desk greeted me. I nodded and walked to the shelves in the back. I love the smell of books. I picked one up and inspected it. "read it," I shook my head and put it back. Then I spotted the one I've been looking for. I gasped and whispered-shouted, "Yes! They have it!"

"Have you been following me?" I yelped. I didn't even realize he was right behind me.

"Oh my gosh! No!" He then did the same thing again; he slowly got close to my face and scanned it.

"Can you stop doing that?"

"You're not lying. I believe you."

"Huh?"

"I said you're not lying. I believe you."

"No, I heard you. I meant, how can you tell?"

"I have my ways." This guy was starting to creep me out. "What book do you have?"

"Huh? Oh, this is a book I've been trying to find for a long time. It's called No longer human by Osamu Dazai."

"Interesting."

"I heard this book is excellent, and I want to read it, but I also heard it's depressing as fuck." Although I always stumble upon sad or bittersweet stories, I usually relate to the character. So, "What book are you looking for?" Now it's my turn to ask questions.

"Nothing, in particular; I just want something that'll keep me entertained."

"What genres do you like?"

"Horror, action, not a fan of fantasy or depressing stories. Romance is cute but makes me cry." Romance makes him cry? Is it because he wishes to have a significant other too?

"Why?" I only asked to confirm my theory. "Why what?"

"Why do you cry when you read romance books?"

"It's personal."

"Oh, okay, I understand. If you want a horror book, here's a good one. I read it before. It's about an orphanage with a couple of kids who become monsters at night. It's also kind of a mystery novel since the "maids" try to find out why there's blood and why children are missing every day."

"Wow, that's quite a story, but it seems intriguing. Okay, I'll take it."

"Okay! Let's go. I'll pay, though, and don't you dare fight me."

"No, it's okay let me pay for it."

"I said don't fight me," I said sternly.

Suddenly the older man at the front barked out a laugh. "HAHAHAHA! Ah, young love. You know, my wife and I have a passion for books, and she, too, would not let anything slide. HAHAHAA! Lad, you will not get another girl like her. Trust me. I'm old, and I can see true love."

"O-ok, Sir," Arie said; I could tell he was blushing furiously out of... embarrassment?

"Oh no, we're not a couple or anything! We are just friends." I assured him.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Sure you are; that's what I said too." He laughed. "Anyways, are these two books it?"

"Y-yes."

"Twenty dollars." As I took out a twenty-dollar bill, he whispered, "I can tell he loves you; it's in his eyes. Keep him." My eyes widened. "Um, thank you, sir, for the advice and the books. Have a great day."

"No problem, I'll always be here, except on Wednesdays and Saturdays." We left the bookshop and walked a bit down the street.

"Thank you, now I owe you something."

"No problem, you'll genuinely offend me if you don't read it; it is a great story. Also, if you want to give me something, you can teach me how to hug someone. I only know how to hug a dog."

"You don't know how to hug?"

"Nope. I have never really hugged anyone in my life, just those awkward side hugs."

"You're weird."

"No, I'm unique."

"Same thing."

"I guess, but still, when can you teach me?"

"I can teach you tomorrow if you'll like. I work at that bookshop for Mr. Yamada."

"Really? Wow!"

"Yup, he even gave you five dollars discount because I work there. But, of course, since my book is pretty big, it costs more."

"Damn, that's crazy!"

"He always makes me call him sir, though. Never Mr. Yamada. But anyways, my shift starts in five minutes; check your right pocket."

I checked my right pocket, but he had already left when I unfolded the paper. It read: 'this is my phone number, *phone number* You are very interesting, by the way.' So I folded it and decided to call him tomorrow.

Diary, I think this is the start of something new.

Hello Everybody!

I didn't put the usual bunch of xs because three xs is a p0rn site O-O. Also, I got that information from someone else and searched three xs to find that part of the title has the word p0rn in it.

And yes, I put a BSD reference (not really), but seriously, the book's good; you should check it out.
