Third Person's POV

y/n ran upstairs, worried she'd be late. She did not want to be late when she had just got hired yesterday. y/n was excited because tomorrow was her date with Tanizaki.

The sky started to turn gray.

Kunikida worked very hard at his desk, Ranpo was eating snacks, Yosano was cleaning her supplies, and y/n barely arrived. So, she guessed everyone else was working on missions. "You're ten seconds late," Kunikida said, not even looking up from his work. "But I'm on time. Am I not?" she asked. 'He needs to loosen up a bit,' y/n thought.

He then got up from his desk and walked toward her. "You have your first mission today with the Port Mafia." she was shocked. "The Port Mafia?! But aren't they evil?"

'Maybe I was going to spy on them or steal a critical file,' She thought. Kunikida sighed and said, "We allied three years ago. We did it to protect Yokohama."

"Oh, I didn't know." 'Good and evil, allies? How?' And, as if he read her thoughts, Kunikida said, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but the PM isn't as bad as they seem. They do the things they do to protect this city. We, too, work to protect this city." Kunikida hated to admit this about the PM, but this was necessary for y/n to hear. She needed to listen to these words.

y/n's tensed body relaxed a little bit. She didn't even know they allied. Indeed, she was gullible. All she ever thought, all she ever was told about the PM was about their horrendous crimes. But, of course, she knew that if she grew up in the PM, she couldn't live with herself. If she were under Mori's supervision, she would be raised thinking violence was the only way.

"y/n, if you were ever to feel hatred towards the PM, don't. They have their reasons. Trust me. As much as I detest their ways, I love the people who work there. They're like my family who gave me another chance."

"I remember someone dear to me said something similar to me on a trip back to America. Thank you for reminding me." A genuine smile appeared on both their faces. y/n remembered all the times (there weren't many) Yvette would talk about the PM.

"Anyways, what's my mission?" y/n said, looking more determined.

"Ah, yes, well, it's a simple one, but We figured you need to also interact with the people there; since we are allies. So today, you must deliver folders containing critical information to the New Guild. You'll work with Akutagawa, and Atsushi will be there to supervise." Kunikida explained,  walking back to his desk to grab the folders he was talking about.

"Seems pretty straightforward. Ok, so when do we deliver these folders?" y/n asked, grabbing the folders from Kunikida. At the same time, Atsushi opened the door with another man. 'I saw him on the street yesterday!'

"Oh, hello, y/n, good morning Kunikida. y/n, this is Akutagawa. Akutagawa, this is y/n." Atsushi introduced us. "Call me diablo." (I'm sorry, I had to, it's just too funny.)

"Hi, Akutagawa. I'm y/n. Shall we deliver these files?" Aku (I'll kall him Aku because I don't want to type his long name. Not coming from a person with a twelve-letter last name) just coughed into his hand. 'That's rude and unsanitary.' y/n thought, still smiling.

They walked out of the ADA, files in their hands. The gray-haired man led the way. Atsushi was unusually close to Aku (even for coworkers.) y/n kept a safe distance from Aku. She followed side-by-side, yet at the same time, a little behind Atsushi.

y/n observed the two; she had a hunch. She felt something was up with them.

Aku smacked Atsushi's ass with his free hand when they arrived near an alleyway. There weren't many people outside. Maybe just two or three, but they rushed down the streets. "Ryuunosuke! y/n's here! Have some decency!" Atsushi yelled at Aku. Aku just chuckled. 'Damn, this dude ain't got shame.'

"Sorry, y/n, I don't know what's gotten into Akutagawa. He usually behaves." y/n's hunch was now confirmed: they were dating. Atsushi was red from ear to ear. Aku was wearing a smirk on his face. y/n just smiled and continued strolling. She looked behind her shoulder and saw the gray-haired man talking to the black-haired man. Again, Atsushi was red, and Aku seemed to be still chuckling.

y/n laughed; it was nice to see true love. Since she first saw him, Aku seemed happier when he was with Atsushi. Same with Atsushi.

They finally caught up with y/n but still wore their same facial expressions. "It's ok, guys; I know you two are dating. But may I ask why you two are keeping it a secret if the organizations are allies?" y/n thought they could've kept it confidential because their respective organizations were enemies. There would be war, dishonor, and even death. "We don't want it to be awkward. And we don't know if they'll accept two guys dating each other. Sure Dazai makes a lot of jokes about dating Chuuya, but we know he doesn't mean it."

It made sense; they would get teased or bring dishonor. It was frowned upon in most places. "I understand. Well, I support you guys. And, if you have any trouble in paradise, you guys can come to me for advice." y/n probably shot herself in the foot for offering advice on romantic relationships; she never had a long-term one. Her relationships only lasted a couple of months then they would fail. "But I'm sure you two aren't the only ones having a secret relationship."

y/n had a hunch that the bosses of each organization were secretly dating and that the 'world's greatest detective' and someone else (she didn't know who) were dating. She thought it was strange that he would text someone for hours at the agency while smiling like an idiot.

It was a gut feeling. But her gut feelings only worked when she focused.

Hello Everybody!

I randomly found this photo of Atsushi, and I like it (mainly for the color scheme.) Also, ignore Atsushi's expression; nothing terrible happened in this chapter; I just wanted to show it's raining.

Yvette and Yami are the same person.

I know it's OOC for Aku to smack Sushi's ass, and it's more of a soukoku thing, but Imma roll with it.
