" I'm going to get yelled at " I said preparing myself " okay I get it now " Aonung said sounding pissed off " sorry " I said trying to keep things civil

We walked in complete silence for a moment " well I killed the vibe " I thought to myself biting my bottom lip and looking at the water next to me " here we are " Aonung said opening his arms and turning around "thanks for taking me" I smiled "no problem forest boy" "see ya fish lips" I ran off to my pod

"neteyam.." my mother said she seemed worried but not too worried "where were you? " she scolded me "ah Aonung took me to some cave and I just got distracted I lost track of time" I said looking down "and they called me and Tsireya love birds" Lo'ak said loudly to Kiri "lo'ak stay out of this" My father glared at Lo'ak "sorry sir" he said walking away

"neteyam you scared us" my father said to me "sorry it's my fault" I said nodding "you're off the hook this time but next time there will be consequences" my dad continued "yes sir" I nodded again and walked to my sleeping area

Aonung's pov..

"Aonung?! " My mom yelled when I walked up "yeah ma'?" I said walking up to her, I assumed my father and sister already went to sleep "are you okay? " my mom said as she looked at my face for any injuries "yes mom, I just took Neteyam around" I said lifting my head when she moved my face around "is he one of the mixed breeds?" my mother asked as he put her hands down "yeah" I said

"I don't really trust that family, be careful around them" my mother scolded me "mom they're nice I swear" I said trying to convince her, I did like Neteyam out of them all but that didn't matter "you don't know that yet" she said walking to her part of the pod with our father

"goodnight" I said walking to my part of the pod technically my '' room '' I laid down thinking about Neteyam, he's just a half breed but there is something about him I don't know what but he just draws me in

What felt like moments later it was morning and I woke up "Aonung you are awake! " my sister said "come on let's get there before them" she said getting me up "okay okay" I said getting myself up

Everyone got to the rock again

"so what were you two love birds doing last night? " lo'ak asked me "I could ask you the same with my sister" I smirked at him "oh you know normal stuff like talking, obviously you couldn't relate" he smirked back "we didn't even do anything " I rolled my eyes

"sure we'll say that" he said then talked to my sister "he annoys the fuck outta me" I thought sighing "so what are we doing today? " Neteyam asked, looking better each day I see him "oh well since you guys got better at breathing we could try riding the Ilu's" Tsireya said looking at us "uh sure" Kiri said

"everyone partner up" Tsireya exclaimed grabbing Lo'aks arm "ill be with Kiri and tuk, wait do you think tuk is old enough to even ride? " rotxo asked "uhh probably" Tsireya said walking off with Lo'ak "i guess you're stuck with me" Neteyam said smiling at me "i guess so" I let out a little laugh

We walked a little

I called my Ilu which technically wasn't mine but he's mine "how do you do that?" Neteyam asked me "I don't know, it's sorta natural now" I said smiling at him then walking into the cold water "oh I guess I'll catch on later" he said walking in the water behind me "hurry" I said as I grabbed the Ilu "okay okay" he said rushing

"so get on the Ilu and I'll fix your posture and shit" I said looking behind me seeing Tsireya and Lo'ak laughing "alright" he said getting on. I turned back to him "Ilus are more fragile compared to your dragon things so you need to sit in a certain way" I said looking at the way he was sitting

"so when you are in motion it's better to sit like this" I said as I pushed his waist forward and everything under his waist back, I looked back at him he looked like he was blushing "cute" I thought smiling at him "shut up" he turned his head and probably blushed more "hey what can I say I have that effect on people" I winked

He made the bond with his Ilu and rushed into the water

"woahh" I heard his brother say "he's gonna fall" I said as he was losing grip

Neteyam's pov..

I grabbed on harder to the strap the Ilu had on "shit shit shit" I thought to myself trying to not fall slowly losing my posture "he's gonna fall" I heard Aonung say, I wanted, no I needed to prove him wrong so I grabbed harder and fixed my posture taking control of my Ilu, technically his but that didn't matter now

I did well until I came up, the Ilu swam up normally but then it started going really fast for no reason "WHAT THE HELL" I screamed "YOU'LL LIVE" Aonung said laughing his ass off "NOT FUCKING FUNNY" I panicked and then letting go

"aww you took a little tumble" Aonung mocked me jokingly "shush" I said rolling my eyes as he helped me out of the water

My brother did much worse couldn't even control the damn thing. I looked amazing compared to him, my sister, Kiri did amazing took only one try

Aonung's pov..

"hey did you see that Kiri girl" one of my friends said "yeah what about her?" I asked "shes right there" another said "what is she doing? " the first boy said "what is she? A freak? " I said on accident

"yeah she's some freak alright" a new boy laughed "we should talk to her" the second boy said walking up to her "okay?" I said confused but followed them, well they more liked followed me

"are you some sort of freak? " I asked her, I didn't really mean it but she was putting her head under water for no reason "huh?" she said as she got out of the water "my friend asked if you were a freak" the first boy started talking "no?" Kiri said walking away from us

"HEY leave my sister alone! " Lo'ak said walking up to us "aww what are you gonna do about it freak? " another boy yelled I could tell lo'ak was getting pissed "i will kill you" he hissed he didn't sound threatening but not cringey either

"whats going on?! " Neteyam asked walking up "they called Kiri a freak" Lo'ak said then Neteyam immediately faced me. He gave me the '' what the hell dude '' face "you will respect my sister and my family" he scoffed in our faces "woahh there" I said

He grabbed Lo'aks arm and walked a little bit away "four fingered weirdo" I rolled my eyes as lo'ak walked up to me "you know I may be different but I could do this cool trick if I put all my fingers down and" he said then punched me in the face twice and my friends jumped on him "ugh skxawng" I heard Neteyam say as he starting beating the shit out of my friend

I got beat up by freaks

After getting our asses beat Neteyam went up to me probably after he got yelled at by his father but he looked happy before he came up to me "I thought we were friends?" Neteyam whispered yelled "no! I'd never be friends with you" I yelled at him regretting it, I didn't mean it I loved him even if I didn't realize it

".. freak? is this all you think of us? " he yelled back at me " yes that is what I think about you and your freak family " I continued " I trusted you " I heard his voice break, probably from anger

"fuck you skxawng" he said as he turned away "well fuck you too!" I scoffed at him as we parted ways
