A/N: this chapter is more intense than the last. So if you're too young for smut, time to get the fuck out haha. You've been warned, read at your own discretion and I'll see you all in Hades.

There was no beginning or end to the time we spent tangled in bed, sleeping and awakening for each other's company. It had never felt so good to be immortal.

I made love to him again and again, wishing I could make up for all the years he had spent alone in darkness. He took me as if he had only remembered the best parts of it and then forgot the rest. And perhaps he was right about my soul.

I was seldom satiated.

"After I make sure my kingdom hasn't collapsed," he began, kissing me so well I wondered if he was going to finish the thought. He finally pulled back and sighed. "I will come back and make your waiting worth the while."

He pulled away and dressed for what felt like the first time in days, and for a long while I laid alone in his bed, twisting around in the warm tangles of our sheets. Ultimately, I climbed out of bed and stretched awake, entirely naked just as I had been for hours. Maybe days.

I hummed to myself and brushed my hair, dressing again in a chiton. I wasn't particular with the selection as I hoped I wouldn't wear it for long.

I wandered his kingdom alone, as if I could find the evidence myself that it had not, in fact, collapsed. I now knew what he had meant when he told me that being content was the worst way to live. I didn't want to be anything except this. Exhilarated, hot, and listless.

The day passed by in a feverish state as I tried to think of anything other than my new husband and what he could do to me. Yet my primal mind was as crazed with it like an addiction.

I don't know how long I lasted out, but Hades was in our bedroom when I returned, an eyebrow quirked as if he had been waiting all day. Or maybe he knew I had. He was half dressed and already draped within the sheets as if moments from sleep. By the look in his eye, I didn't believe it.

"I thought I told you to wait for me to come back," he said.

"No," I replied softly, reaching for the clasp of my gown. "But you said you'd make it worth my while."

"I would have," he nodded as I undressed. He let his gaze wander deliberately down the plane of my neck, over my breasts peaked in the cold, lower and lower and lower. I stood as if in a dare for him to deny me now.

"Come to bed," he growled.

I didn't need any more invitation as I climbed beside him, ripping away the sheets between us. My hands roamed his body, pulling off any clothes they found until he was bare against me again. Being without him was like a magnet missing it's pair, and no matter how brief, our first separation had left us more charged than ever. Gone were the sessions of gentle touches and proclaiming love.

Now, he gripped my hair with all those traits he swore I should never apologize for. Rage and lust and passion. Maybe not hate, I thought as he slipped a finger inside me. I ground against his hand, wanting more.

"I need you, I-" I gasped and the thought disappeared with the coaxing of his fingers. He was too good with his hands. "I need you now."

"Patience is a virtue," he told me seriously, yet his hand went faster so my back arched with pleasure. I already regretted not waiting for him to come back earlier.

"But if you'd like to be in charge," he continued.

"Hades," I breathed.

"By all means,"
