Rose's P.O.V.

I reach the chamber in which Loki is being held, and I stand still, thinking, wondering, debating on what I should say, and how to say it.

He stands in his cell, his back facing me. I can sense several emotions radiating off of him, as if they are struggling with each other. Regret, hatred, sorrow, submission, pain, remorse, shame.

Hope.

Why would he feel all these things? It's no like him. The one I remember, the Loki, I remember, never really ever submitted to anyone. Unless, he was forced. But no one dared ever try to blackmail the Prince of Asgard, worried of it coming back on them. And why would he have any reason to hope? It's not like he's being forced to do it, all of this destruction. This is all his choice, his decision, his reason to feel regret.

"What is it you're here for, sister? Not to only stare at my back, I hope." He turns around, a face that the depressed would wear. Hands clenching and unclenching, never able to find a comfortable position to keep them.

"Why?"

He stares at me confused, walking up to the glass walk separating us from each other.

"Why all this destruction? This bloodshed? This pain? What does it do for you? Does it give you satisfaction? Or joy? Happiness maybe? What does it mean, when a confused, lonely, compassionate young man, turns into a twisted, evil, uncaring man?"

He stands still, unmoving, as I continue.

"Thor had told me everything. The Frost Giants, Father in the Odinsleep, his banishing to Midgard, the Destroyer," he grimaces at the mention of the weapon," so why did you let go of Thor's hand? Why try to abandon the life of the living?" I ask, unsure of what his response will be.

"To be with-" he starts to yell, before stopping himself, and starting again, his voice barely above a whisper. "To be with you. To see you again. It killed me when you fell off of that bridge, into the unknown... I remember what you looked like falling. Scared. Worried. You were screaming for me, Rose. You were screaming my name. I had just missed your hand, and you kept falling." He says, overwhelmed by the memory.

"If you remember was I looked like, and what happened to a point, then what made you turn? What made you think I would want that for you?"

He walks closer to the glass, and out of frustration punches it. I'm surprised he didn't fall out of the sky.

"I knew. I know. I knew at the time, and I still know. But guess what. Things change!" He exclaims. "You changed from that small, fragile, innocent sister, to an enemy. One that is still innocent, but strong, tall, compassionate, loving and optimistic. One thing that never changed about you was that you always saw the best in people.

"Me? I turned into a monster. Just like my father. Like all my ancestors! Frost Giants are known as monsters, loving to wreak havok, chaos, destruction, and the taking of lives. I've turned into what I really am. That day you died, I knew something was lost inside of me. A piece of me died. Your soft spoken voice that I learned to trust, I thought I lost that forever. Mother saw that as well. She tried to help me, but it only made it worse. Father? King Odin? He ignored me. He treated like a chip on his mighty shoulder, like and insignificant speck, a rodent to get rid of. To terminate."

He starts pacing around his cell, as I wait, insure of what to say.

"So, you ask me what's changed? Multiple things, dear sister. Multiple things in both our lives have changed."

He keeps pacing, as I fall to my knees, trying to fight against the tears threatening to fall, to become like the small, fragile, weakling he described as the past me.

"What have you done? What, what have you become?" A rogue tear rolls down my cheek, leaving a mark, a trail of sadness, a disappointment of what Loki has become.

"That, my dear Rose, I cannot answer. You alone have to decide that for me."

"I have made my decision then." I stand from my knees, fixing my posture, but not wiping away the trail of the lone tear from my face.

"You are my brother. By blood, or not. You may have turned one of my best friends to your will, used him, manipulated him, but that can be forgiven. Please, just tell me where to find the Tesseract, and end this war." I beg, knowing it might build his self-confidence, and not in a good way.

He chuckles sadly, turning to once again face away from me. "That boy you remember is gone. Now, all that is left in his shell, is a monster, waiting to be broken out."

"No, no, no. You are not a monster. Don't you ever let me hear you say that again. Ever. You've just been mislead my something, or, someone. Just tell me where the cube is. We can end all of this! No more fighting. No more bloodshed. No more war. Thor can bring you back to Asgard, and I'll come with you!"

Suddenly his sad smile, turns into an evil smirk. "No, no going back to Asgard. Infact, never going back there again! And, you're right." He says confusing me, as a light blue flashes in his eyes.

"I'm not the monster here. You brought him onboard for me." He finishes, causing me to back up out of fright. The way he worded it, manipulated my words, turned them against me, to tell me the true purpose of why he's here on this flying boat.

"Nat..." I turn on my com-link, as I hear her speaking over the coms.

"Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab. Rose and I will be there shortly."

I jog out of the chamber, running to meet Nat, when we see a fight starting to brew in the lab.

No. No, no, no, no.

This can't be happening.

His plan has already been set in motion.

Hey guys!

Sorry if this chapter's a little short.

I've been waiting to write this chapter ever since I started the book. I don't know why, but I found it fun and sad at the same time.

Anyways, how have you all been?

I've been reading this book called The Good Girl's Bad Boys, and it's AMAZING!!!!!!! Seriously! It's so funny!

Before I go, I have one question.

Where are you all from?

I'm from Canada.

And no. We don't ride polar bears, or have them as pets. 😂

Bye bye!
-Rose
