Rose's P.O.V.
The plane slowly approaches the almost finished Stark Tower, and my jaw drops. It's huge! Well, I guess he decided to make a tower the size of his ego. Or, at least half of his ego.
Tony see's my reaction, and the corner of his mouth turns up a little bit.
"Do you always talk out loud?"
"What are you talking about?"
"You just talked about my tower out loud, and how it was about the size I my ego, or at least half of it." He said, arching his eyebrow.
What? But I never talk out loud!
Tony bursts into laughter."See! There you go again!" I glared, and stared intently out the window as we fly over New York.
"You haven't been out much, have you?" He asks me, trying to strike up a converstation, other than the awkward one we just had.
"Not really. Fury and Coulson always kept an on house arrest. Or, Helicarrier arrest, if you know what I mean. I've been to a base in Arkansas, but that's about it." I answer, turning my gaze towards him.
"Remind me to take you to Hawaii or Jamaica one day." I laugh.
"I'll hold you to that, Tin man."
"Wha- where did that come from?" He asks, staring at me like I just grew 3 extra heads.
"It's my new nickname for you! Ever since I saw footage of you fighting, I knew exactly what to call you if I ever saw you. And, well, here we are!" I say, as we land on the landing pad on the tower.
"I'll have to make sure that you don't tell anyone that nickname."
"It'll be our little secret."
The bay door opens, revealing a woman in a white suit and orange hair.
"Hi Rose! Welcome to Stark Tower! I'm Pepper. And Tony, I have some files that you need to look over. Now." She says, thrusting the tablet into Tony's hands and grabbing my suitcase.
"Pepper! Can't I look over these later? I had something in mind for tonight." Tony wines.
"Ya, no. And no workshop either until those files are looked over." She says, walking away. I giggle a little, and Tony stares at me with false hate in his eyes.
"Rose, come with me and I'll show you to your room." I nodded, and followed her into the Tower, leaving Tony alone to look over the files he was ordered to look at. I don't really feel bad for him.
"Who are you talking to?" Pepper says, breaking my thoughts.
"Pardon?"
"Who are you talking too? You were talking out loud." I groan, shake my head, and drop it into my hands.
"Why does this keep happening to me? This is the second time I've done it. Ever. The first was with Tony. Not at S.H.I.E.L.D., not with friends, it started with Tony!"
Pepper laughs. "Well, Tony does have that affect on women......"
It took me a second to process what she just said. "Ewwww!" I squealed. "Pepper! That's just gross! " Then, we started laughing. That's when we realized that we had been standing in the living area for over 15 minutes.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., could you please take us to Rose's room?" Pepper said out loud, as we walked into the elevator.
"Who are you talking to-" I stopped talking when I heard a robotic, British voice come out of nowhere.
"Sorry to cut you off, Ms.Rose, but we're on the floor that you requested, Ms.Potts. And Mr.Stark is requesting for your presence." The voice said. I jumped, and Pepper started laughing.
"It's okay, Rose. That was J.A.R.V.I.S. He's Tony's A.I. system."
"Oh......." I say as we stop in front of my room.
Pepper opens the door, and all I can say is WOW. It's amazing! The walls are blue, all the furniture is white, and there is some type of closet near the bed.
"It's a walk in closet." Pepper says. I give her a weird look, and she shrugs her shoulders.
"What? You said your thoughts out loud again."
"Whoops."
"Lol."
Wait, did Pepper actually say 'lol' out loud?"
"Pepper, why did you say 'lol'?"
"Oops. Sorry, I have to text a lot, and it's starting to interfere with how I speek. Well, I'll leave you to get settled." She says, walking our of the room. "Oh, and two other things. If you have any questions, just say them out loud and J.A.R.V.I.S. will answer them, and dinner is at 5:30."
Then,I start unpacking.I put all of my clothes in the walk in closet, as well as my shoes, I put my books on my bookshelf, and I set up all of my pictures and things.
"Hey J.A.R.V.I.S., does this building have an arcade?"
"Yes, ma'am. Go to the elevator, and I'll take you to it." The British voice replied.
"Sweet! Thanks J.A.R.V.I.S!"
"It's my pleasure." was said in return as I pressed the button summoning the elevator. The doors opened, and it was filled with big, sweaty workmen.
"I think I'll take the next one." I said, pressing the button again as the doors closed. The next elevator arrived, and Maria was in it.
"Oh good, Rose, you're here. Okay, I have to say something quickly before Fury gets to me." she says really quickly.
" J.A.R.V.I.S, please take us right to the roof. Maria, spill."
"Okay, Fury sent you here because he didn't want you to come with us to D.C. He knew that if you stayed, you would hitch a ride with us somehow, and he doesn't want you there. Why? I don't know. I think because Clint is there, but there could be something else. We're heading there now. I asked to stop bye to say goodbye." She finishes.
"That makes sense. Well-" I stop talking when the doors open, because the big bad boss is standing right in front of us.
"Hill, time to go." He snaps, grabbing her arm and pulling her towards the helicopter. She pulls away, and gives me a hug.
"Stay safe. Don't trust him right now. I don't know what's going on." She whispers into my ear, and I give her a slight nod, but not before yelling
"Bye Maria! I'll see you soon!" They get in the helicopter, and fly away. Once they are gone, I go back into the Tower, as J.A.R.V.I.S takes me to the arcade.
But I have only one question.
What is Fury hiding from me?

So! I finally updated. I know it's late, but something happened to my brother at school and was ordered by the doctor to stay on bed rest, and I had a busy weekend, but today was a snowday, so I decided I should update!
