Rose's P.O.V.
Nat and I barge into the lab, seeing Nick Fury already in the room, radiating, well, Fury, seeing Tony and Banner not working on the sceptre.
"What are you doing, Mr.Stark?"
"Uh...kind of been wondering the same thing about you." Tony retorts. This isn't going to end well.
"You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract." Fury ignores him.
"We are." Banner says. "The models locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location between a half a mile."
"And you," he points the sharp thingy at Fury," you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss." Suddenly, the computer he was working on shows secret S.H.I.E.L.D. files. "What is Phase 2?" He asks, as Steve barges into the room, carrying some sort of weapon.
"Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D. uses the cube to make weapons." He turns to Tony, before adding, "Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow."
"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're..."
"I'm sorry Nick. What were you lying?" Tony says as he turns his computer to face us, which how's plans of the weapons.
"I was wrong, director. The world hasn't changed in bit." Steve scowls.
Banner finally notices Natasha and I in the room, and he stares at her, mad. This can't be good. "Did you know about this?"
"You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?" She asks. Thor walks into the room, and stands confused.
"I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed."
"Wait, Banner, that's not what she ment, it's just-" I try to talk to him, but people keep talking over top of me.
"Loki's manipulating you." Natasha states.
"And you've been doing what exactly?" He sasses her, and she looks unamused.
"You didn't come here because I batted my eyelashes at you."
"Can you please all hold up for a sec? This is exactly what Loki wants!" Once again, I'm ignored, as everyone keeps talking.
"And I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D. is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction."
"Because of them." Fury says, shutting everyone up, as he points to Thor and I.
"Excuse me?"
"Me?" Thor asks.
"Last year Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. Then, not long afterwords, we had another visitor from the same planet, who left a crater in the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Florida. We learned that not only are we alone, but hopelessly, hilariously outgunned."
"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor says.
"Our people." I correct him, and he smiles.
"But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled."
"Like you controlled the cube?" Steve sasses.
"You're work with the Tesseract is what Drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that Earth is ready for a higher form of war." Thor says, and I agree with him.
