I think that's it?Tubbo's POV
the next dayI sat up in my bed, slowly remembering yesterdays events. I felt panic rise in me for a brief second as I felt for my binder. Thankfully, it was still on. Yes, that's bad, but I was thankful that nobody had took it off. I don't really think I have to explain why.
"Oh, hey! You're up!" Ranboo's voice said. I looked over, seeing them sitting up with their back against the bed frame, on their phone. "Hey." I replied. "I didn't, uh, take that off of you. For, y'know, privacy, so I hope you're not in any pain." "Oh, no, I'm ok. Uh, just a little stiff." "Good, good."
It was quiet for a moment.
"How long was I asleep?" I asked. "A while. After you fell asleep downstairs, you slept the rest of the day, all night, and it's currently nine in the morning, so, estimate that, I guess." They replied. "Jesus christ." I mumbled to myself, rubbing my eyes.
"I don't think anyone else is awake. It's been really quiet." They said. "Why'd you wake up?" I asked. Ranboo shrugged. "'Cus I guess I was rested."
I lightly laughed, rolling my eyes.
"And yes, I carried you up here, if you're wondering." He then said. "That's embarrassing. Sorry." I replied. "No worries. You're actually- like- really light." I nodded.
Time skip
After some time passed of Ranboo and I chatting, we heard people talking and walking around in the house, so we decided to leave our shared room and go downstairs.
"G'morning!" Ranboo waved, earning a few welcomes. We sat down on the sofa, and I spotted the news on again. The remote was on the side table, so I turned the volume up some, listening, seeing for an update.
After just a few minutes, what I was hoping for appeared. An update.
"Yesterday morning, two inmate brothers by the names of Cade and Elijah Samuel, escaped from the United States Penitentiary in Atwater, California. As of fifteen minutes ago, they were last seen Dallas, Texas. How the two traveled that far in such a short amount of time is unknown, but many believe they snuck themselves onto a plane, somehow." The lady said, "Until the two are caught, any and all schools within a one hundred mile radius will be closed and do online learning to ensure the safety of all students."
I slumped back onto the sofa, exhaling.
"If you have any information on the suspects, please contact your local sheriffs office or police department."
It then went to something separate.
"This is fucking insane." I whispered to myself, holding my head in my right hand, "Are you fucking hearing this?" I looked over Ranboo, who nodded in response. "Of course they're coming this way! Why wouldn't they be? That's just my damn luck, innit?"
"Tubbo, I don't think they're necessarily coming this way, they're just...going in that direction." Phil said. "Yeah...so...coming this way." I laughed under my breath. "No- they're- I guess to word it better is they're not coming towards you, they're just headed in this general direction. Who knows, maybe they're stopping in Texas."
I exhaled, setting the remote on the table after turning down the volume on the television.
Ranboo reached, comfortingly patting my arm.
He mouthed, "you'll be ok," with a smile. I weakly smiled back, still nervous about it all.
