Tom was resting his eyes in bed he saw Ken through his window. Reading a book. He was still amazed at how adorable Ken was at night. In his red pyjama pants and black shirt, he looked like a fashion model compared to Tom. Then again, he didn't want to brag but Tom was pretty average when it came to looks and style. According to Ken, he looked like a million bucks.

Ken gave Tom pretty heartfelt compliments, like 'You're eyes are like skies that have stars in their eyes.' Tom knew that reference to that movie. He just didn't want to say anything. Even though Ken probably knew also.

Still, seeing Ken almost everyday made everything worth it. His smiles, his jokes, his compliments, his cooking, his stories, Tom hit the jackpot. But he still felt something inside him that kept saying lust. He knew loving someone just for their body wasn't right at all. But he always had that odd feeling.

The following Wednesday morning, the news channel had an interesting interview with an Author named: 'Alex Sanchez'. "So this morning we have a special guest visiting us today, please welcome: Alex Sanchez." The other man's voice came on. "Thanks Martin. Hello everyone, I'm Alex. I'm here to have a short discussion about 'Questioning Yourself.' More specifically, 'Questioning Your Sexuality.'" Tom turned up the volume slightly.

"So what can you tell our viewers about homosexuality?" "Good question. You know, when you hear the word 'Gay', what do you start to think about? Pink sweaters, boy-band hair, skinny jeans, girly attitude and speech, the whole package. But, people don't always realize, just because you're gay or lesbian, doesn't mean you have to be a walking stereotype. You can still be the normal you, just with an attraction to men or women. Sometimes you don't have to be fully gay, just asexual which is having and attraction towards both men and women, or be pansexual which is having attraction towards every gender, transgendered also."

Clapping was heard in the distance, but the interview wasn't over just yet. "That is very inspirational for all our viewers out there. Do you have any advice for coming out?" "For coming out I just say, don't ever be afraid to come out to anyone, especially those who you love and trust. They won't let you down."

The clapping continued and even Tom clapped. He felt better after hearing this interview. "Well, that's all the time Mr. Sanchez has for today, and if you want to read one of this books, try out his bestseller: 'So hard to Say'. It's great, it's well written and has a wonderful meaning. Have a good day everyone." "I wish all the best for you people out there."

Tom turned down the volume and rubbed his forehead, he felt like a total dork. he should have just accepted himself for who he is a long time ago! The always tried to avoid it, but it would never work. "I'm gay..." Tom said neutrally. He felt calm about this, he's always had a larger interest in men. He's was just worried about what his mother would say.

"Well, now that the truth has been revealed, time for a quick shower and breakfast." While he took his shower, he felt all his worries and concerns go through the drains. He finally felt at peace and calm.

Tom had a proper healthy breakfast, cereal, toast, an orange, and a cup of apple juice. "Hmm, Lush is having a sale on Friday.." Tom said as he read the morning paper. "I liked the strawberry scented soap. It had a cool smell."

Tom still thought about him and Ken's outing in the afternoon, and what they might do. "We can walk along the sidewalk and maybe go for ice cream." Tom had pretty big plans for such a small event.

When Tom finished eating, he got dressed and checked the time. 10:30, he had a little time to get something nice for Ken. So he jogged to his car, making sure the coast was clear, and drove off.

"What kind of stuff does Ken like?" Tom never asked Ken what kind of presents he liked, but he accepted the challenge. "Flowers? I guess flowers will do. He had a lot of plants in his house." He figured Ken would like roses, considering his favourite colour is red.

He made it to the flower shop, and went towards the front window. "Good morning ma'am." The woman looked up from the plant she was watering. "Good morning sir, how can I help you?" Tom wandered around and found a bouquet of red roses. "And, how much are these?"

The woman smiled. "Aww, have a date today sweetie?" Tom blushed a light pink. "Uhh, yeah... Just a walk in the park." The woman giggled. "6.47. Buy two and get a discount." Tom shook his head politely. "No thanks, just this one." Tom paid her and took the roses. "Good luck." The woman added. "Thanks."

11:30!? Tom had only half an hour to get ready! He quickly changed into his outfit for the day, and wrapped his roses. "Ken might like these... He does like red." Tom was getting nervous again. Even if the date was confirmed, he still felt out of the ordinary. "What if I say something wrong? Like bring up the break up subject without even noticing?"

Tom finished dressing himself up, and headed to Ken's house. He hesitated before knocking on the door, but soon, Ken appeared. "Hey Tom, ready for our date~?" Tom blushed redder than his roses. "D-Date? Like the dried fruit...?" Tom questioned nervously. "No silly, like a real date. Where two people get to know each other." Ken explained.

"I see. Well let's get to know each other then!" Tom said with a big smile. "Okay!" The started walking when Tom remembered his gift. "Oh! Ken, I got you a little something.." Ken looked over. "Roses!? Thank you so much! I love them!" Ken gave him a side hug and a kiss on the nose, making his glasses slip a little. "N-No problem, Ken."

They continued their walk, discussing life legacies and dreams. Pretty soon, they knew so much about each other. "So Ken, what's you're favourite ice cream flavour?" Ken raised an eyebrow. "Strawberry. Why?" As if on cue, an ice cream shop appeared as they turned a corner. "Shall we?" Tom said with a smirk. "We shall." Ken responded and held the door open. "You catch on fast." "I try."

They sat in the shop and ate their ice cream. Ken got strawberry shortcake, and Tom got rocky road. "Thanks for the ice cream Tom." Ken added. "You deserved it." Tom said with a smirk. Ken chuckled. "I have a question." "What's up?" Ken blushed. "I really enjoy spending time with you, so I was wondering.." Tom's heart was beating 1,000 times faster.

"Do you wanna be... More than just friends? Like, close friends...?" Tom smiled a giant smile. "I'd love too, Ken. I could never be happier to." They both looked into each other's eyes. They were so close to each other they had no choice but to lean in. And they did.

Ken's lips tasted like strawberries and vanilla, while Tom's tasted like chocolate and caramel. They pulled away and looked at each other in the eyes and smiled. "I've waited a long time to do that." Ken whispered. "So have I." Tom agreed softly. A few people in the shop were clapping and cheering for them, and the both walked up and took a bow.

It wasn't a big deal, he just kissed him on the lips. I mean, that's pretty awesome, but it wasn't like he was proposing to him. Either way he enjoyed the publicity.

Tom and Ken walked hand in hand out of the shop, both of their hearts beating in sync. "I've always wanted to kiss an Author." Ken joked. Tom chuckled and blushed. "Well, I've always wanted to kiss a YouTuber."

They arrived at Ken's house, standing on his porch. Hands intertwined. "I'll see you around Tom." Ken spoke softly. "You too, Ken." They each other pecked on the lips and Tom walked off.

Tom was on Cloud 9. He never thought this day would come, but he felt tired, so he took a nap on his couch. And dreamed about Tom and Ken's future.
