Tom and Ken have been doing relatively well in the past few weeks. Going on walks, picnics and hiking. Tom finally found a cosy job as an author, and had an impressive wage. 25 dollars an hour. Ken continued with his job, getting paid now and then. As a YouTuber. But they always found time for each other.

Kisses were no longer embarrassing, but perfectly normal for them now. They were a perfect match. "My grandpa always said," Ken explained while walking with Tom on the beach. "Some matches are made in phosphate factories, while others were made in heaven." They both chuckled. "Either way, it all starts with a little chemistry."

Tom was thinking about taking their relationship to the next level, they were already boyfriend and boyfriend. But he couldn't tell if Ken was ready. "Hey Ken, I've booked us a table at a new restaurant. Wanna go?" It was a Friday evening and Tom was calling Ken about going out. "Sounds like fun." "Great, see you in a few minutes." Ken hung up and Tom got ready. He took a quick shower, changed into a grey tuxedo with a blue tie and black leather shoes.

"Now this is fancy." Tom said with a smirk. He looked very sophisticated, along with his well brushed hair. "These reservations weren't easy to get, I hope we use them well."

Tom rung the doorbell to Ken's house, but no one answered. He tried the doorknob and the door opened. "Huh? Why is Ken's door open?" He stepped in and heard Ken in the shower. "Oh, he's just taking a shower." He waited a few minutes, and Ken soon stepped out of the bathroom.

"Wha-? Oh Tom! How did you get in here?" Tom shivered. "The front door was open..." Tom could see Ken's face grow concerned. "Alright. But make sure you wait for a minute." Ken said strictly. Tom nodded. "Sorry." "That's okay." Ken slowly walked down his staircase.

"Lemme just grab some extra socks from my laundry room." Ken came downstairs with nothing but a towel. "Umm..." Tom blushed a cherry red. Ken must have noticed, because he posed a little. "Do you like what you see~?" Tom averted his eyes. "S-Sure... But you would look better with clothes on.." Ken laughed and walked off. Tom fanned himself and sighed. "Darn it Ken..." He whispered.

They drove to restaurant that Tom booked, and they were both very excited. "It's been a while since I've been to a fancy restaurant." Ken added. "Really? Well consider yourself lucky, because you're in for a magical evening." Tom said happily.

"Every evening is magical when I'm with you Tom." Ken kissed his cheek and Tom giggled and blushed. "Hey, cut it out. I'm driving." Tom said jokingly. "Aww, I can't wait that long..." Ken pouted. "Be patient Kenny boy." Ken laughed. "Hey! Don't call me that!" Tom laughed softly. "Alright Kenneth." Ken shook his head and smirked. "Same to you Thomas."

When they got there, the first thing that Ken noticed was that the restaurant was the name. 'The Food of Bob Acri.' "This is a nice looking restaurant." Ken complimented. "I knew you would like it, it's a jazz bar." Ken raised an eyebrow. "Sounds interesting." "Yup, they play very well. So this will be exciting."

They entered the restaurant, hand in hand. As they waited for a waiter. "Good evening gentleman. If you don't mind me asking, are you two perhaps on a date?" They shared looks, and smiled. "Yup, just the two of us." Tom answered. "Alright, I'll set you two up with the 'Luke Rose' table."

As they were being escorted to their table, they saw that some tables had a similar name to theirs. Some were 'Linda Rose' and others were 'Lisa and Laurence Rose'. This restaurant definitely wasn't like the others.

They sat at their table and chatted a little, soon the waiter came back and took their drink orders. "I'll have an iced tea." Ken requested. "Just water please." Tom reassured. "Alright, I'll be back shortly." The waiter walked off, giving them both a chance look around.

The place looked very lively, there was a large dance floor and the band at the front was playing 'Sleep Away'. "Tom, how expensive were the reservations here?" Ken asked, concerned. "About 79.99." Ken's eyes widened. "Wow. You spent half the money you had, for me...?" Tom reached over and kissed Ken's hand. "It's worth every penny."

The waiter arrived with their drinks and took their food orders. "I'll have the Swiss Steak." Tom requested. "Same." They both smiled. "Mhm. I'll be right back." The waiter walked off again. Giving Ken and Tom more time to discuss their relationship.

"We've gotten so far into our relationship." Tom chuckled. "I guess we have." Ken looked away blushed. "I do have something to give you though..." Tom raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? What is it?" Ken looked back and giggled, he's been doing that a lot lately. "You'll see." Ken smiled.

The waiter soon returned and brought their food. "The dance floor will be open 10 minutes." Tom and Ken winked at each other. "Thank you." They both said. "You're very welcome. Enjoy." They ate in silence, giving seductive looks at each other. When they finished, the waiter ran over and took their plates and gave them the bill.

"This wasn't as bad as I expected..." Tom wondered. "Do you want to split it?" Ken questioned. "Sure, but apparently we got a discount." Ken looked at the bill. 'New Love Discount' was written at the bottom. "That's a bit creepy..." Tom and Ken agreed. But they didn't want this to ruin their night.

They split the bill and and ran to the dance floor, The band was playing a more romantic song, and it set the mood perfectly. "This is romantic." Ken laughed. "I guess it is." They danced away the night, in a waltz-like position. And suddenly, Ken got on one knee.

"Thomas Fischbach, you've made me one of the happiest men alive. And during my time of need, you would always be there with inspiration and a pat on the back. As much as I like seeing you now and then, I'd love to see you everyday." Tom covered his mouth in surprise. "Tom, will you marry me?" Tom wiped a few of his tears. "Yes Ken. I will." He kissed Ken passionately and put on the ring.

"I've loved you for so long Ken, ever since I first moved in. When I first came to your house with a basket of muffins, and I saw your face. I knew you were the only one for me." Tom ended his speech with another kiss, and they both walked out of the restaurant, and drove home.

"Would you like to spend the night at my place?" Ken asked. "Sure, as long as you don't murder me." They both shared a laugh. "I would never murder my fiancé." They kissed and walked inside. "I didn't pack any pyjamas for our sleepover." Tom joked. "I have some extra shirts."

They climbed in bed after a long night. And Tom snuggled up to Ken as he fell asleep, with all of his fear, shame, and lust drifting away.
