Tom stretched his arms while sitting on his bed. Today was a special day, Ken's wife, Mary was returning from her trip on business, and he couldn't wait to meet her. Tom jumped out of bed, took a hot shower, ate some breakfast, and made his cookies.

"Finally, I found the oven mittens!" Tom took out his cookies and smiled. He felt great about the cookies, but he was still nervous about how she would react to them. Nevertheless, Tom was excited about today, he finished putting the cookies on a fancy plate, and went to his room to change.

"Hmm.. This is a pretty decent outfit for today, I think I'm good for now." Tom had picked and outfit yesterday for the occasion, and tried it on. He looked pretty sharp. "Yeah, this will do. I should get going, it's almost 11:00." Tom wanted to go a bit early, just to talk to Ken for a while.

As soon as he arrived at Ken's house he could already see Ken heading out the door. "Ken? Where are you going?" He knew it was obvious, but he asked nonetheless. "Oh, Tom! I was heading to you're house to pick you up." Really? Wasn't he was supposed to come over? "Oh, well I decided to come over because I thought you would leave early." Ken chuckled. "Well you thought correctly. Let's go." Tom walked towards him, giving him a chance to check his appearance. Ken had a black suit on with a red tie also, with some suave pants to match.

"You look great." Tom complimented. "Thanks, so do you." Tom looked away and blushed. Attempting to hide, it somewhat worked, considering Ken only laughed slightly. "What's so funny?" Tom asked. "Oh, nothing.." Ken smirked. "It's just that it's cute when you blush." Scratch that. Hiding a blush never succeeds.. "Oh.." Tom scratched the back of his neck and laughed awkwardly.

Ken and Tom sat in silence while Ken drove, he never knew driving in dead silence would be so.. Silent. He decided to speak up, but to only ask a question. And soon, he would regret ever asking it. "Can I turn on the radio?" Ken smiled. "Sure." Tom pressed the 1 button and Maroon 5's song 'Sugar' was on. Crap.

'I'm hurting baby, I'm broken down. I need you're loving, loving, I need it now.'

Tom's stomach turned into knot, and he clenched his plate of cookies. This isn't the right time to play this song!

'When I'm without you, I'm something weak, you got me begging, begging I'm on my knees.'

Tom looked over at Ken, who was swaying this head back and forth slightly between verses. He liked this song!?

'I don't wanna be needing you're love, I just wanna be deep in you're love. And it's killing me when you're away, ohh baby.'

Even worse Ken was humming some of the words! Why?! Out of all the songs in the world, this one had to play!

''Cause, I don't care where you are, I just wanna be there where you are. And I gotta get one little taste.'

Tom felt like he was about to explode. He had never heard a line more perverted than that before, and he wanted to turn off the radio for good.

"Your sugar, yes please. Won't you come and put it down on me? I'm right here, 'cause I need, little love a little sympathy.'

That did it. Tom pressed the next button so quickly he bent his index finger a little. As if a miracle had happened, the 2 button came to the Jazz channel, and was playing a smooth swing. "Aww, that song was good. Whatever, this Channel's good too." Ken said with a small smile. "Sorry..." Tom said quietly, embarrassed. "It's cool. We're almost there anyway." Tom slumped in his seat happily, and waited for the drive to end.

When they got there, they waited in the airport waiting room for a while and soon, a woman with a red dress a came approaching them "Mary!" Ken shouted happily. "Hey Ken..." She didn't seem very enthusiastic, mostly because another man was walking along side of her. "Uhh.. Mary, who's this?" Ken asked with mild concern on this face. "Oh! This is my new boyfriend, Nathan." The man smirked and shook Ken's hand. "Nice to meet you, Ken." Ken looked disgusted. Tom had never seen Ken like this. "M-Mary.. What are you saying?" Mary shook her head. "Ugh! This is what I'm saying Ken! I've moved on. Nathan is amazing and you're just..." "Beautiful."

Tom stood up and blurted out. Oh dear... What did he do!? Why did he say that!? "And who are you?" Mary asked, crossing her arms angrily. "T-Tom." Tom responded. "Well, Tom. Why don't YOU be his boyfriend, and I can have Nathan." Ken looked over at Tom, and Tom couldn't tell if he was glad Tom stood up for him, or if he was angry at him. "Well, if it means you leaving Ken for good, I will gladly be you're guest." Tom said with triumph. Mary turned her heels, and walked off with Nathan who mouthed 'Help me.'

Tom felt brave, but also stupid. What if Ken wanted to apologize to Mary? Ken was sitting with his head down and was playing with his hands. Tom slowly walked towards him. "Ken, are you feeling okay?" Ken looked up sadly. "Not really..." Tom went up to him, and gave him a hug, and to his surprise, he hugged back.

"Thank you for standing up for me though." Ken hugged him tighter. "You're welcome. Though I'm sorry that you can't really see her again." Ken waved it off. "It's alright. We've been arguing a lot lately and I knew she'd find someone else soon." Tom felt better after hearing that. Not only did he stand up for one of his friends, that friend was okay with it!

"But let me ask you something.." Ken questioned while Tom shivered. "Did you really mean what you said? About me being beautiful?" Tom knew the answer, he just felt afraid to say it. "Of course I did Ken. I know we've only been seeing each other for a while.. But I already know so much about you. You're smart, funny, kind, helpful, and always able to cheer someone up." Ken looked up with a tear-filled smile. "And most of all, you are beautiful."

Ken eyes welled up with tears once again. And Tom was worried. Was it something he said? "Ken... What's wrong?" Ken wiped a few tears. "Nothing. These are tears of joy, no one has ever told me something like that before." Tom blushed. "I guess I just did." Ken smiled widely. "You're such an amazing person, Tom... Helping out a hopeless guy like me." Tom shook his head. "No, no. You just need a little help to get back on your feet. I needed to do some shopping today, would that make you feel better?" Ken smirked. "Yes, it really would."
