//2 Months Later//

Tom finally settled on moving in with Ken, so he didn't feel as lonely anymore. "How many guests will be coming?" Tom asked. They were preparing the wedding that was happening in 4 weeks. "About 32." Ken answered. "Wow. So are the decorations in the chapel?" "Yup." "Is your family coming?" Ken smiled. "Yeah. I'm excited to see my brother."

They had many preparations to attend to for the wedding. And they drove to the chapel from time to time.

"Did all the guests receive invitations?" Tom asked Ken while driving. "Yeah, a few of them called me yesterday and said they will be coming." "Okay, the food is still in the way..." Ken chuckled. "Is that your main concern?" Tom eyed him. "Of course! The main thing about the wedding is that there is food." "What ever you say Tom."

The wedding was almost here, in less that 2 weeks. Everything was ready, food, venue for the ceremony, outfits for the grooms, and decorations were all around the chapel. "Umm, Ken...?" Ken turned from fixing up a tilted decoration. "Yeah? Is there something wrong?" Tom shook his head. "Not really, it's just that Mary called.." Ken's face grew sad.

"What did she say?" Tom looked at his feet. "Well, she wanted to come to the wedding. And congratulate us." Ken sighed. "She can come... If she wants." Tom raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? I could just tell her we don't have enough space." Ken nodded. "Yes, it's fine. She can come, but she can't apologize, or bring Nathan." Tom opened his mouth to say something, but closed it. "Alright, I'll call her." "Thanks."

Tom knew how much Mary wanted Ken back in her life, but it was too late for that. He called Mary by Ken's phone, and waited for her to pick up.
(M-Mary) (T-Tom)
M- "Hello?"
T- "Hi Mary."
M- "Tom, Hey. Great to hear from you. How are you and Ken doing?"
T- "Very well, our wedding is in 2 weeks."
M- "Wow, time flies fast."
T- "Yeah, that's actually why I'm calling. Ken said you can come."
M- "But?"
T- "But, you can't apologize."
M- "For?"
T- "For breaking his heart, leaving him in the dust and never apologizing, and finding another guy who isn't even worth the skin on his nose."
M- "Well, I never meant to break his heart or leave him in the dust. I just wanted to take a break, and I found Nathan."
T- "Well, you broke his heart pretty bad. And Nathan is not welcome."
M- "Why?"
T- "Ken doesn't want to see Nathan. He gives him bad memories."
M- "Alright. I'll come without him, but what if Ken apologizes to me?"
T- "That isn't very likely, considering that same person can't even keep a sustainable relationship."

Tom hung up. Wasn't it obvious? Ken only wanted her as a guest, not the maid of honour. Tom felt very upset, so he sat agitated on one of the church benches with his knees on his chest.

After a few minutes of quiet sobbing, he felt footsteps come towards him. "Tom? What's wrong?" It was Ken. He wrapped his arms around Tom sympathetically. "She's planning too take you away from me..." Tom said in between sobs. Ken was shocked. "Who...? Mary?" Tom nodded sadly. "Tom, no one is ever going to take me away from you. I will always be with you for as long as I can." Ken lifted Tom's chin and kissed him. "And even when we're old, we'll both be siting on our front porch. Hand in hand."

Tom smiled sadly and cried in Ken's arms. "I'm just worried that I might lose you one day..." Ken took a deep breath and continued. "We might not last forever, age-wise. But for now, we should embrace the present and await the future, and see what lies ahead of us."

They looked into each other's eyes, and Tom gave Ken a quick kiss. "I love you Ken." "I will always love you too. For as long as forever can be." They got up and held hands. "Well, I just finished up with the decorations." Tom looked around, and the chapel was filled with blue bow ties and and red paper roses for decoration. "This looks awesome!" Tom shouted cheerfully. "I knew you'd like it. The blue bow ties were hard to make, But the staff managed."

They walked out of the chapel and into Tom's car. Where they listened to the Jazz channel. And to their surprise, Bob Acri's 'Sleep Away' was playing. "This song was playing when you proposed to me, wasn't it?" Ken smiled widely. "Yeah, I remember. I never forget the day you actually said yes." Tom blushed and smirked. "Yup. And I never regretted it for a second." He gave Ken a quick kiss on the cheek.

When they arrived at Ken's house, it was 2:30, and they felt tired after decorating. So they headed to Ken's bedroom and changed into something lighter. They climbed in bed and snuggled up to each other. Ken fell asleep quickly, but Tom was awake thinking. What if Mary shows up with Nathan anyway? Will that make me a bad fiancé for disobeying Ken? Will he decide to leave?

Tom did end up falling asleep, but with thousands of questions flowing through his mind.
