Today was the day. Tom and Ken were going to tie the knot, once and for all. Tom was in his dressing room adjusting his tie when he heard a soft knock on the door. "Hey Tom? May I come in?" He knew that voice anywhere, Mark. He opened the door and smiled widely.
"Mark!" "Tom!" They shared a hug. "This wedding looks amazing. The decor, the vale, the food, the whole place looks fantastic." Tom grinned. "Thanks Mark, this place is really nice. And Ken did some of the decorations." Mark smirked. "That explains the awesomeness." They shared a laugh. "The wedding starts in 15 minutes, just to let you know." Mark added. "Okay. Thanks for the heads up." "No problem."
Tom finished getting dressed in his suit, which was black with a red tie and a right breast pocket with a velvet cloth inside. He stepped out checking his facial appearance in the nearby mirror. Tom was extremely nervous, but he had to do it. He walked over to his mother, who was waiting for him. "Hey mom." They quickly embraced.
"Hello Tom, It's lovely to see you again sweetie. Quick! We have to get to the chapel." Tom let go and looked over. "Oh, yeah." They both chuckled and crossed arms with each other while they both opened the chapel doors.
When they entered, the chapel was filled with people. Young and old, wearing suits, dresses, hats, and jewelry. Tom's heart was beating 10,000 times an hour, he couldn't believe that today was the day. He was officially marrying Ken Morrison, who went from a neighbourhood acquaintance, to his fiancé.
Tom walked arm to arm with his mother down the red velvet carpet, and once they reached the vale, Tom's mother quickly took a seat in the front row beside Mark, who was sitting beside Aaron with his arm over his shoulder. How cute.
The priest began. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to witness a once in a lifetime event between to lovers: Thomas and Kenneth. As they exchange vows for their everlasting love." Tom and Ken looked each other in the eye. Ken mouthed: 'You look fabulous.' Tom smiled and responded with: 'So do you.'
"Who gives permission for these men to be together?" Tom's mom, Mark, and Ken's brother all stood up. "We agree." They all said and took a seat.
"As Thomas and Kenneth join hands and take their vows, we are privileged to witness the growth of their new family. A family that will be nurtured and nourished through the devotion of two individuals growing through the common bonds of love."
"Do you, Kenneth Morrison take Thomas Fischbach to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Ken stared at Tom and smiled. "I do." "Do you, Thomas Fischbach take Kenneth Morrison to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Tom stared back at Ken. "I do." "I now pronounce you, husband and husband. You may now kiss the groom." Tom and Ken slipped on the rings and stepped into a passionate kiss.
Everyone stood up and clapped loudly, cheering and whistling. Tom and Ken walked of the vale hand in hand to greet their families. "I'm so proud of you and Mark." Tom and Mark's mother hugged Tom and Mark and they hugged back. "Thanks mom." Tom said. "We couldn't have done it without you." Mark added.
Ken hugged his brother tightly, who was sniffing softly. "You have no idea how awesome this is, and how proud you've made me." Ken patted his back. "Thanks, I never knew I'd get married to someone as amazing as Tom." Kevin smiled. "I wish all the best for both of you." They hugged once more, but was stopped by a lady in a sky blue dress. Mary. "Hello Ken." She looked over. "Kevin." Kevin eyed her in disgust. "I'm gonna wait outside Ken." Kevin patted his shoulder and went outside the chapel.
"So, I see you've officially tied the knot with Tom." Mary said with a smirk. "Yes. And I intend to keep it that way." Ken said strictly. "Wow, I'm impressed. You really showed me how to love someone."
