Sunday. The best day of the week for Tom. He loved the morning baths, the afternoon brunch, and the evening book reading. "I better make the most of this Sunday to unpack." Tom still needed to unpack after his 2 days of living here. He came on Friday, and after all that, he still didn't fully unpack.

Tom walked to his bathroom and undressed. After a good half and hour Tom dried himself off and changed into a hoodie and jeans. He was making an cheese omelette with some toast when his doorbell rang. He finished cooking quickly and answered the door.

And to his surprise, it was Ken. "Hello again." Ken said with a smile. "I came over to see how you where, I know you said you'd come over, but you're new house looked so nice I just had to come." Tom laughed nervously. That was a total lie. The house by itself was nice, but there were boxes everywhere! Tom needed to persuade him to NOT come inside. "Umm.. Actually my house is super messy, and I really need to unpack." Ken raised his eyebrows. "It can't be that bad."

As soon as Ken stepped in his face of question turned into a smile. "Wow, it's kinda messy. But not what I expected." Tom looked beside him. What did he expect?

"Really? Then what were you expecting?" Tom asked. "My house when I first moved in." Ken responded. They both shared a laugh. "But seriously, let me help you unpack. It's the least I can do for you bringing me muffins yesterday." Tom didn't want to fight with Ken, he was his only friend in the neighbourhood. So he gave in.

"Alright Ken, you can help me unpack. But only for a while." Ken nodded. "Okay! Let's get started."

Unpacking with Ken made Tom's Sunday worth while. Ken's strong arms able to unpack heavy items, Tom's quick feet and tall figure to reach the tall places and put away things fast. The perfect combination. At around 2:40, they finished.

"Wow, I've never seen the house look so clean." Tom said with a happy sigh. "Yeah. We make a great team." Those words rang through Tom's head. 'A great team.' "Yup." He simply said. "Well, I gotta go feed Betty, she must be starving."

"Okay. Thanks for helping me out today Ken." The both looked each other in the eye. "You're welcome." Ken patted his back and walked through the door. Tom waved and closed the door.

Ken was right. Tom's new house never looked better. All the furniture he bought was in the living room, his bed was in his bedroom, the guest room had a twin bed, and his bathroom had sweet smelling soap and a clean toilet. "I think I still have a Sunday left, it's only 3:00." Tom realized he still hadn't eaten his brunch, which was room temperature. "Crap, my brunch is cold.. I can reheat it, but it won't taste as good."

After Tom's brunch, he decided to sketch for a while. He drew a few of his friends, then himself, then he had artist's block. "Hmm... Who should I draw next?" Then Tom realized, Ken. "I could draw Ken... No big deal."

Tom added tons of detail into his Ken sketch. More hair, larger eyebrows, and thicker stubble. "Okay, done." Tom felt proud of his work, but he still wanted to see the real Ken, even if he spent the whole day with him.

Once again, Tom managed to kill a lot of time, because as soon as he finished sketching, it was 5:54. "Wow, sketching takes a lot out of you." Tom sighed. He wanted to see if his T.V worked, so he fiddled with the remote and the wires and soon, the news came on. "Hmm, it's going to be sunny tomorrow. Maybe I should ask Ken if he wants to go to the nearby park." He texted Ken to see if he would accept, but his smile soon faded.

(K-Ken) (T-Tom)

K- Sorry I can't. Mary is coming home from her business trip, and I have to pick her up at noon.

T- Oh, alright.

K- Wait, maybe you can come along!

T- Really?

K- Sure. I don't see why not.

T- Thanks, have a good evening.

K- No problem, see you tomorrow.

Tom ended the conversation. "Yay! Another day with Ken! I should set up a nice outfit." Tom rushed to his room and picked out a long sleeve shirt with a red tie, and navy blue jeans. "This looks good." He slipped into some shorts and a grey shirt, and went to his room.

"I wonder if I should make something for Mary.." Tom wondered about what dessert she'd like. Maybe some cookies. "But, should I like Mary? She's kinda in the way.. Nah, she must be nice." And with that Tom went bed, wondering about how tomorrow will end up.
