Valentine's Day special (again)

Okay that took more time than I expected, I thought as I hopped off the bus and went inside of Kendrick’s backshop, I knew he wasn’t working that day he told me Joel had a valentines surprise for him but the shop was still open just only taking mobile orders.

“Hello I’m here for pick up” I said and noticed the entire shop was empty not even anyone behind the counter 

“Hello?” I said again looking around to see if maybe the shop was closed and I didn’t noticed

“I’m coming” I heard an elderly voice say and saw an older woman with a cane walking up to the cash register

“What can I get ya darling” She asked me with a sweet smile

“I’m just here to pick up” I told her and sawed her the barcode on my phone

“Oh this darn thing” She said and grabbed thick black circle glasses from her dress pocket and put them on her face and looked at my phone

She then grabbed the scanner and tried scanning it but her had kept shaking so the scanner couldn’t recognize my phone.

“Need help?” I asked and she handed me the scanner

I scanned my phone myself and she smiled at the computer

“I see you ordered our Valentines bundle, Let me grab it” She said and walked to the back

I sat down and waited but suddenly heard a loud noise, I stood up and walked closer to the cash register

“Are you okay?” I asked her

“Yeah just made a small mess” She said back

“Need help?” I asked her

“Aw that would be so nice” She said poking her head out

I walked into the kitchen and saw she accidentally dropped some pans and pots, but I also noticed that the orders were out of place and slightly disorganized.

“Would you be a dear and help me pick up” She asked me sweetly

“Yeah of course” I agreed and started picking up

“Are we there yet?” Penny asked eating her 20 piece chicken nuggets, fries, and her mini milkshake

“No baby” Malcolm answered as he was driving

“Well be there soon” I told her as we drove closer to the building that was holding her Valentines day dance

We pulled into the building, we finished eating and walked into the building where we saw tons of kindergartens running around, dancing, singing, and I saw the parents on the side watching.

“Penny!” A little boy screamed and ran up to Penny and handed her a pink rose

“Hi Cameron” Penny said and took the flower

Cameron was Penny's friend, he’s new and Penny befriended him immediately, since then he comes over for playdates and I always see him talking to her when I pick her up.

“Okay I gave you flowers, will you be my girlfriend now?” He asked her

“No” Penny said and they walked somewhere else together

“Aw” Malcolm said and I smiled at him and looked around

The decoration was pretty light, pink, white, and red paper hearts everywhere, the stage had a DJ playing song after song, and the food was boxes of Little Caesar pizza.

“Use to go to these a lot?” I asked him and gave him a juice box

“Sometimes, we didn’t have a lot of school dances and stuff like that” He answered and drank the juice box as we watched Penny dance
