“What do you want to know, kid?” I asked deciding to entertain this
“How did you meet? How long have you been together?”He asked me
“We met at a party and been together about an year” I told him
“Cool my dads met when they were teenagers too” He said
“Dads?” I asked
“Yeah dads, I have gay parents, Papa out with my sister and I’m helping out dad” He explained
“Oh that's cool, What do your dads do?” I asked him but still watching the door
“Papa use to be a model for like 15 years then went to business school and works at the building and dad is a writer, he loves to read and we go to bookstores all the time” He told me and pulled out a pictures of his family
It was him at like 8, two men behind him, and one was holding an baby who I’m assuming is a girl since she wrapped in a pink blanket
“Aw thats cute” I said and he put his phone away
“Is your dad coming soon?” I asked him again
He looked at the door and smiled
“Just came” He said and hopped off the couch and walked to an tall white looking dude who was wearing a Yankees hat and holding an huge brown box
“Hey daddy” He said to him and he looked at him confused
“Daddy? What the hell do you want?” he asked putting the book down
“I need one of the books, he’s been waiting here for almost 2 hours, and it’s a gift for his boyfriend” He told him and he looked at me
He smiled and grabbed a book and handed it to me. I reached to get the money out of my pocket but he stopped me.
“Don’t worry about it, You and your boyfriend have a good valentines day” He told me and patted my back
“Help me put the books away” He told him son and walked to the display case
“Got to go, Have a great day” He told me and walked away
“Hey wait, what's your name kid?”I asked him realizing I never asked his name
“My name?” He asked and turned and smiled at me
“My name is Vale” He told me and walked to his dad
“That's Vale” I told him and walked out of the bookstore and hopped on the bus and headed to the movie theater where I planned to meet Mateo
