“How do I look?” I asked Damien who was drinking beer while watching Care Bears: Oopsy Does it!

“Like yourself?” He answered like a smart ass

Joel made plans for valentines day but didn’t tell me what those plans were, just told me to dress casual so I’m wearing an black shirt with a flaming white skull and blue jeans with my regular shoes.

“Hey guys whats up?” Peck asked walking out of his room wearing his muscular shirt that showed his arms and some of his stomach and sports shorts

“Heading out Joel’s picking me up in 10 minutes for a surprised date” I told him

“You hate surprises” Damien reminded me

“Know but he told me to trust him” I sighed annoyed

“Just you and me bud?” Peck asked and punched Damien’s shoulder

“No bud” Damien said sarcastically

“I have plans with my girlfriend just later” Damien told him

“Amber? I thought you guys broke up again” I asked him

“We did but we got back together 2 days ago and were going out tonight” Damien told him

“What about you? Don’t you have a girlfriend?” I asked Peck

“She doesn’t celebrate Valentine's day she says it’s too capitalized so were not doing anything” Peck explained to us

“Well have fun with your left hand Joel’s here” I said and headed out of the apartment and headed down the stairs and saw Joel waiting in his car

I got him and we kissed when we saw each other

“Ready for your surprise?” Joel asked with a wink

“Yep let's go” I smiled as we started driving

I got out all washed saved, moisturized, and now I was working on my hair and make up

It’s been a while since I’ve been on a real date, since me and Rufus were already friends before dating we never really went on “dates” we hung out but wouldn’t say we went on dates, it was usual friends things just he would have his arm around me and we would kiss once in a while.

Peck and I sometimes went on dates but I always had to plan them, convince them to go, and usual pay; at the time I didn’t see that as a big deal but since we're broken up I realized how little effort he put in our relationship and this time around it was gonna be different.

My new boyfriend will be romantic and independent at the same time

I blow dried my hair and added all my oils and gels into my hair, I put the back of my hair into two afro puffs and braided the front of my hair and tucked it into my puffs.

After that I did my make up, I went for a natural look, I went light on the concealer, foundation, mascara, did light pink blush, and added clear lip gloss with a slight shimmer in it.

After I put on my hot pink dress that was strapless and hugged my waist and everything else; I grabbed my white wedges and picked up my little white purse and walked out of the bathroom.

Rufus was already gone and Tagoe probably went back to sleep so I just walked out and called an lyft and made it to a restaurant and I walked in

“Hey you must be Amiee” An guy said holding roses and handed them to me; He was wearing an navy blue dress shirt and black dress pants

He looked nice

“Hi you must be Philip” I smiled and took the flowers

“You can just called me Philly” He smiled at me and we walked inside
