(Y/n's POV)
That stupid teleport got me to Asgard alright, but it dropped me off in the middle of the town square. So first I had to get some Asgardian attire to blend in, then I had to navigate my way to the castle and find a way to get them to let me in. I ended up saying the King had requested a new performer. Me, a court jester. Ugh, it's a horrible thought. And they wouldn't let me in until I showed them a trick, so I ended up putting on a stupid light show with my power. Wasted a good half an hour doing that. Then after they finally let me in, I had no idea where to start looking, so I was going from room to room; there's a shit ton of rooms in a castle. I couldn't run anywhere cause I'd look too suspicious. That is, until I heard his voice. I followed him as quick as I could, but when I saw him being transported by Thor I figured I should speed it up again, in case he was getting moved elsewhere.
Now here I am.
"Y/n?"
"You would not believe the journey I've had. Absolutely ridiculous."
"Y/n," the deep voice of Thor interrupts me. "How did you get here?"
"Lied to the guards, they're pretty gullible. You should probably get new guards."
"No, I meant how did you get to Asgard from Earth? Have you an aircraft?"
"Ha! No, I wish. Would've been a lot easier I reckon. What's with the cuffs?" I walk over to Loki.
"He doesn't trust me. Can't think why," he smirks at me, and I match his expression.
"Well? How did you get here?"
I whisper to him so the others can't hear, "Stole some Shield equipment. Told you I'd come for you."
"Y/n," Thor walks over and grabs me by the arm, but I quickly pull it from his grasp. "Y/n, you cannot be here. We have to leave, so we cannot protect you here."
"Who says I need protecting?"
"Well no, I just-"
"Where you going?"
Thor glances behind him at some woman dressed in battle gear, and she subtly shakes her head. Or rather, not so subtly, as it was clear enough for me to see.
"We're going to Svartalfheim," Loki says, ignoring the frustrated glare from that girl.
"To where now?"
"It's the home of the Dark Elves."
"What you going there for?"
"There is something inside Jane here," Thor indicates to a young woman who looks very out of place amongst all the Asgardian leather. "And we need to destroy it. We're also going to avenge our mother."
"Your mother," Loki butts in, but I don't miss the fleeting look of sadness that crosses his face.
"Do not pretend that you were not enraged by her murder, brother."
"I'm not. But we both know of my true parentage. No point trying to hide it."
"Very well. We're going to avenge my mother."
"Gotcha," I nod. "Sorry about her, I'm sure she was great."
"She was a brave woman," Thor says in agreement.
"Cool, that's settled then. I'll come with you."
"Y/n no," Loki quickly says. "It's too dangerous."
"What do you think New York was? A rollercoaster ride?"
"I fear my brother is right y/n. This mission is far too risky."
"Okay, no offence but her over there," I point to the girl with mousy brown hair who's name is apparently Jane, "looks as mortal as I do but with less power. And you're taking her?"
"Yes, because the thing we need to destroy is inside Jane."
"And that's not dangerous for her?"
"Of course it is, but we cannot remove it here in Asgard, the affect could be devastating."
"And once it's out of her? You're more than likely going to have a fight on your hands, and she has nothing to defend herself with. I, on the other hand," I raise one hand up and allow the electricity to spark between my fingers, "have this. I don't care what either of you say, I'm coming."
Loki shakes his head but a small smile creeps onto his face, "Still stubborn I see."
I shrug with a grin of my own, "Some things never change."
