Chapter 15: Finale-ish

Now that everything was back to normal, Alex and Mara made plans with George and Mindy to trick or treat together. Mindy mentioned that there was a trunk or treat happening on the 30th that they could go to. The rest of the group agreed. But that was on Thursday; On Friday, Mack had some exciting news for Mara. Arianna was also all smiley so Mara could tell it was gonna be good.

" Mara, Kendall, and I are officially together!" Mack yelled.

" Oh my god, I'm so happy for you!" Mara gave Mack a surprise hug and Arianna joined in. They sat down giggling after Mr.John yelled at them. They whispered and talked all hour when they could. Mara told Arianna and Mack that she and Alex made up. Which they both kinda guessed they did when Alex was with Mara by the door.

During Physical Science, Mara invited Mack and Kendall to join them in trunk or treating, then she invited Arianna, Marcus, and Leanne at lunch. The whole lunch hour, everyone talked about what they were going to be for Halloween. Arianna let the whole group know Kendall and Mack were gonna be Lydia and Beetlejuice for Halloween. Everyone laughed stating that those characters were perfect for them.

They then talked about where they would meet up before leaving. Everyone agreed that the park near Mara's apartment building would be the best option. Arianna told everyone that she would let Mack and Kendall know the plan. " It's all said and done then" Mara smiled as everyone laughed with her. Leanne commented on how fun it all sounded.

Alex passed the idea that they should all have a massive sleepover. Mara agreed, then there came another conversation about where it would be. Everyone agreed that Arianna's house was the best since Leanne explained Arianna's house was basically a mansion. Arianna disagreed at first but she knew her house was a decent size so she agreed eventually. Arianna had fourth hour with Kendall so when the bell rang she told him about the plan.

Kendall agreed to go trunk or treating with them and he also agreed to them having a sleepover. Everyone carried on with their days until after school when they all hung out at the park. Mara had to show Mack and Kendall where it was since they didn't know. Mack and Kendall were gonna leave after, but Mara convinced them to stay and hang out. They all talked about how school was going but also some rumors (not bad ones) going around the school.

At 5:30, Arianna was called by her mom to come home for dinner. She told everyone she had to leave and said goodbye. Everyone else agreed it was getting near that time for them too, so they said goodbye to Alex and Mara. After everyone left, Mara and Alex walked to her apartment. He walked her in there but he figured Brianna probably wouldn't let him stay over so Alex told Mara he would call her later.

Mara walked in just in time, Jessica was about done making pizza. She pulled out the supreme, and then she pulled out the meat lovers. Mara got excited and sat down at her spot at the table. She smiled as she waited for Jessica to say it was okay to grab a plate. The two of them talked about their days respectively while they were eating. Mara explained that they wanted to do a sleepover at Arianna's and go trunk or treating.

Jessica agreed to let her go but she made Mara promise to be back by noon the next day after the sleepover. Mara promised she would and they carried on with dinner. It was another 10 minutes before they finished. After dinner, they decided to binge-watch a whole bunch of Halloween movies to get in the mood for Halloween. They watched the movies until Mara fell asleep (at 10:30) then Jessica told her to go upstairs to bed.

The next morning, Mara woke up to a facetime call coming from Alex. She answered it tiredly. Alex said good morning and explained why he was calling. He told her that his mom said he could do trunk or treating and spend the night at Arianna's. Mara noticed that Alex was walking outside, she made a weird face and looked at the time which said 6:30.
