Chapter 8

A few days later

Chaeryeong's POV

Yeji unnie and I finally get a chance to hang out together on a day off. We had planned to go shopping for new phone cases and go back to her mom's place. Apparently her mom has been wanting to have one of ITZY over to make food for us. I'm excited! The weather is better than it has been recently, but still freezing. We've already hit a couple stores for fun.

"How are you Chae?"

"I don't know, it's hard to put into words. I've been wanting to talk to you about everything though."

"I can feel a big difference. There's a wall now."

"There's actually something that's been on my mind..."

Our bodyguard Michael and our manager is trailing a few feet away from us. I take a peak behind to make sure I'm not speaking too loud. We finally enter a mobile phone accessories store and start browsing. I notice that it's busy to be shopping today and hold my tongue until later.

Yuna's POV

"I need your advice again, unnie." I'm sitting in my room at my parent's house. I visited the family on my day off. The phone is a few inches away from my face while I lie down on my bed.

"Is it about Chaeryeong?" Ryujin unnie's quite voice shoots through speaker mode.

"How did you know??"

"You're easy to read, Yuna. What's up? Did something happen?"

"I've been sleeping over in her room these days and it's making everything difficult..."

"Then...stop?"

"But I caaaan't!!"

"Huh? I don't know what you're trying to ask!"

"I need to let these feelings out..."

"Have you tried writing in a journal? That helps me a lot when I need it."

"Writing my feelings? Ah, I have an idea!! I'll tell you about it later, byeeee!"

I hang up the phone call with Ryujin unnie. I think I just came up with the best idea ever!

I'm going to write letters to Chaeryeong unnie, BUT it's going to be anonymous so she'll never know it's me!

But me writing it wouldn't be a good idea though. She definitely knows my handwriting.

Maybe I can get my sister to do it?

Chaeryeong's POV

"And that's how it's changed for me," I take a sip of the juice in front of me. We've settled in Yeji unnie's mom's place after the day of shopping. It's so cozy.

"I'm sad that you have to go through all of that."

"Can I tell you something else, unnie?"

"You can tell me anything."

"I've been scared to say this but..." I take a deep breath in. Am I really going to tell her about Yuna? Being honest with my members is the only way...

"I think I'm gaining feelings for...somebody."

Why is this so hard for me to say??

"Really?? Who is it? Do we know them?" She starts flooding me with questions and I shrink inside. Mostly because I didn't have the courage to say who it is. I'm still scared.

"We know them. This is the first time I can actually say that these feelings do exist for someone..." I feel my cheeks get hot. I'm so embarrassed.

"The person is lucky then. What are you going to do?"

"I'm not sure yet. Yu—I mean—they don't know how I really feel..."

"Our profession is the most difficult. Having someone to like isn't easy, but our feelings can't be controlled anyway. I can only wish you two the best in the situation. Your secret is safe with me, Chae."

"Unnie, thank you for understanding."

I let out a sigh. I couldn't say all what I wanted to, but I'm happy she understands me.

How would the other members feel if they found out who it really is? There's still a lot of fear in me to find out.
