Valentine's Week, Day 4: Teddy Day 🧸

I reach there
A little too early
Anxious that if I'm late,
He's not going to wait.

To my surprise,
He's here before time
In his puffy jacket
Looking like a teddy bear.

Without thinking,
I run to him
And hold him tight
In his arms, it feels so right.

We stand like that
For a long time
Then go for a walk,
Me giggling all the while.

I gently hold his hand
And he doesn't resist.
I look into his eyes,
And the nostalgia hits.

I know he feels it too
Remembering all the
Silly goofy things
We used to do.

I boop his nose
And say "You're so cute!"
Then we reminisce about
Everything huge and minute.

His eyes sparkle when
We get his favourite ice cream
Someone please pinch me,
I hope it's not a daydream!

The day comes to an end
On a hopeful note
Reminding us both that
We're just a couple of weirdos.

It leaves me
Craving for him more,
Hoping it makes him feel
Something he can't ignore.

Happy Teddy Day, dear readers! 🧸
