It had only been a week since Alessandra last saw her office, but in that time, files had been filed away, everything was dusted, and whoever had taken over was considerably better at organising than she was. She even felt it was a shame Alessandra had to come back and ruin her own office. But despite the time away, no one was lenient as emails were unanswered and meetings were scheduled as if nothing had changed.
The only problem Alessandra faced was the sudden appearance of more memories, she would be reminded of what happened at random times of the day. Bruises and cuts told her that they had hurt her, but she couldn't remember a moment of it, and she couldn't understand why her mind was closed off. It just felt like she fell asleep and woke up. But there was more to it, and she couldn't have slept through it. She knew she couldn't have.
For three nights in a row, Alessandra was left hanging awake as she lay, cold and tired, regardless of the actual temperature, until slowly she would fall asleep and recall the same scene. They walked in and were speaking, but her mind blurred their words until one of them would grab her hair, and then it fell dark, and she would wake up in a sweat. Until the fourth night, when it fell black, and Hotch's face filled her mind, his face leaning over her and speaking sweet comments into her ear. She didn't know what they were, but she felt full of love. The following night, his comments in her ear soon grew into demands making something pool between her legs as she saw him in his suit, hunched over her with a face she had seen once before.
It felt like hours would race by as he moved over her. Fear turned to pleasure as he grunted and moaned in her ear quietly. Even in her dream, her assistant was sitting outside and ruining her chance to hear his sweet, deep groans that she knew he was capable of. Mornings were more bearable when she awoke to the feeling of him between her legs. There was something about him. Hotch was a man of many talents, but he wasn't the biggest; he wasn't the roughest or gentlest either. But with Hotch, he did things for her that she hadn't expected. He did things with her that if anyone else did, she would dry up like the Colorado river. But the way he did it left her rolling her eyes back in pure felicity. He wasn't the most adventurous, as far as she could tell, but he made her want to be more adventurous, and as each dream played out in her mind, she found herself caught up more in his trap.
Hotch, however, spent his nights reliving the abandoned building where he found the limp body of a woman he once dared to forget and yet could never make himself forget again. The team heard the men talking about how she was dead, but they refused to believe it until they saw it. When they took the two men out, they looked at the freshly disturbed soil that stood between them and noticed a few small fingers peaking out, along with a small nose, and before anyone could talk him down, Hotch ran to her side, pulling the soil away from her as she remained perfectly still. 'IS SHE OKAY?' Morgan yelled as he ran to Hotch's side and tried to remove dirt too, but it seemed foolish as they couldn't see the rise and fall of her chest as she sat close to the surface.
Growing tired of the digging, Hotch dug his hands into the soil and used the underside of her arms to pull her out of the ground with strength he didn't think he could replicate. The team watched on as he picked her up and hugged her, her arms limply sagging as he then stepped towards the harder, more stable ground where he laid her on her back and opened her eyes for a second, but she didn't seem to be responding. In a moment of desperation, Hotch clasped his hands together, and with the greatest force he could muster, he smacked his hands against her chest, and he watched as her body jolted as a result before it twitched slightly. He knew from that alone that there was something inside controlling her still. He checked for a pulse but failed to find one when he pushed his cheek against her mouth, and he smiled. It was faint, so faint he had to double check it was even there, a breath was pushed against his skin. She was breathing faintly.
