CHAPTER TWO

MAXIMO CORPORATION

You can see a room that is the only one on the 60th floor equipped with the presence of a woman who is serious behind her desk while preparing files for a meeting with someone who has been on her mind since yesterday.

A knock on the door stopped Alicia's activities "Sorry ma'am, it's time for a meeting, the clients are already in the meeting room, waiting for you."

Alicia immediately stood up and walked out of her room and into the meeting room. As Alicia entered the meeting room, Alicia accidentally met face to face with the man who had been in her head and mind for a long time, Dave Emmanuel Dorney.

Immediately Alicia looked away, and acted coldly as if to reassure her heart that this man would be getting married soon. You can see Axel smiling as he sees Alicia and Alicia who also smile back. Axel immediately sits down at the meeting table in the middle to start the meeting.

"Thank you, sir, for your trust in agreeing to cooperate with Maximo Corp." Alicia said while shaking hands with the Client and escorting him.

Alicia returned to the meeting room to clean up her files, pausing for a moment because she saw that the previously crowded meeting room now only had Dave. Alicia was confused and surprised where Axel had been after the meeting, instead of waiting for him.

Alicia hastily packed up the files and took her bag without looking or speaking to Dave who had been staring at her since then when Alicia returned to the meeting room.

Dave who saw it seemed to know why Alicia was behaving like this. One step before Alicia left the meeting room, Dave grabbed Alicia's arm and turned her around.

"Al, I want to talk to you," Dave said with a serious look and jaw that hardened seeing Alicia's indifference.

Dave tightened his grip even more and made Alicia moan, really making Dave's anger peak and he pulled Alicia against the wall, with Dave's hands locking Alicia.

Alicia who was surprised by Dave's sudden treatment, she felt angry and tried to be even more indifferent "What are you doing?".

Dave growled in annoyance and said "I'm getting engaged to Samantha" examining the look on Alicia's face

Axel who felt challenged and gave a meaningful smile. Before Axel answered,

Dave who heard it, suddenly stood stiff, and felt his mind go blank.
