CHAPTER SIX

Dave's point of view was cut off by the touch of Samantha's hand on his arm "Honey, see many have started the dance, let's dance" Samantha enthusiastically pulled Dave towards the dance floor. Dave saw that many couples had filled the dance floor to celebrate their engagement. Dave briefly saw the table occupied by the woman who had been his concern all along.

Kelly glanced at the dance floor while nudging Axel's arm and whispering softly "Get Alicia to dance fast!" not a question rather a statement thrown by his mother. Kevin, knowing what his wife whispered to his son, immediately threw the same code at Axel.

Grasping Alicia's fingers slowly, making the woman's forehead wrinkle in confusion and suspicion - what this one boy wants to do must be something Alicia thought with a look on her face asking for an answer to Axel's actions which made her confused.

Axel pointed to the dance floor with his head while blinking his eyes slowly. Alicia, who now understands Axel's intentions, can only surrender to following Axel's steps which pull her up towards the dance floor. Even though Alicia really just wanted to sit at this table until the event was over without wanting to participate in all kinds of activities at this event. Just coming to this event drained Alicia's energy, let alone seeing the face of the man she hoped would never see her again, Dave.

Alicia appreciates Axel's invitation, which she thinks is exasperating because she always thinks of and cares about him. The views of the guests began to be interested to see two couples who were quite attention-grabbing at this event gathered on the dance floor. This invites other guests to participate in enlivening. Not a few saw Axel in awe of the figure who was said to be the only man who could match Dave. All the amazed gazes of the men had been aimed at Alicia, seeing the beautiful face and curves of her body which were considered to have a perfect blend.

Samantha realised that she was not the one who had all the gazes and attention from the guests, but Alicia. Samantha's cackling sounded in Dave's ear. The man ignored him pretending not to hear him. Alicia's presence always brings admiration from people who see it, especially women who show faces of dislike because they feel unrivaled, just like how Samantha is feeling now.

Alicia wrapped her arms around Axel's neck tenderly, along with Axel who pressed his body against Alicia while hugging Alicia's waist. They danced to the song Bruno Mars - Versace on the floor. Everyone danced merrily and in unison until one dance session turned the female partner slowly to exchange her partner for another.

This is what makes Alicia lazy to dance, because she doesn't want to dance with other men she doesn't recognise. Axel gave a regretful look and silently said sorry because he knew Alicia hated interacting with strangers. Alicia gave a smile and a nod that meant nothing.

Alicia's body was caught by the strong arm of a man with the man's body hugging her from behind "Did you enjoy this event?" Alicia immediately widened her eyes and froze at the whisper of the man. A very familiar voice. Without hesitation Alicia turned her body to make sure.

This look and look in Alicia's eyes had been seen three times tonight. There is no trace of love left for this man. But the pain that is difficult to forget given by this one man. Alicia hoped that the next day she would never be reunited with him.

Reluctant to answer, Alicia just turned her head to look for Axel's whereabouts and ignored Dave's question she had asked earlier. Seeing the indifference and coldness of Alicia's attitude towards him, Dave's emotions started to get hooked "Does being with Axel make you feel high?" Dave mocked, which didn't affect Alicia at all and ignored her even more.

Seeing no response made Dave even more overcome with emotion "Have you forgotten how low you used to be who always stuck to me?!" gripped Alicia's waist tightly so that she could hear the moans of the woman who still faithfully ignored her.

"You know I really hate being ignored especially by a woman like you!" Alicia still looked at Axel faithfully and smiled to mean to Axel that he was fine and no big deal. Dave had been watching where Alicia's gaze had gone. He became even more furious.

"Do I have to beat up an Axel before I can turn your eyes to me!!" Dave's growl sounded in Alicia's ear. Instantly Alicia turned her face towards Dave. "Just finish this dance session and don't bother talking to this lowly woman," Alicia said in a flat voice and cold eyes.

After saying that, it seemed the Goddess of Fortune was on his side, as the pair swapping dance session had concluded. When Alicia took her hand off Dave's shoulder and wanted to walk away towards Axel, Dave held her hand which made Alicia roll her eyes - What's more. Alicia feels madly annoying.
