CHAPTER TEN

Arriving at Maximo's residence, Alicia immediately walked into her room. Axel followed behind him. Feeling that he had to know everything about Alicia made himself overwhelmed with curiosity, especially regarding that man. Axel closed the bedroom door and saw Alicia sitting on the balcony of her room staring at the front of her beautiful backyard.

Axel approached Alicia and hugged her from behind while placing a soft kiss on her shoulder. Alicia always feels calm getting a warm hug from the man who has become her fiancé. Feeling comfortable, Alicia finally opened her voice "Dave kissed me earlier...". Alicia felt a tense reaction from the man behind her "But I didn't reply, if you want to know" Alicia continued.

Axel smiled faintly, he thought Alicia was cute.

"Of course I want to know. Anything about you, no matter how small or how big, I really want to know. You have to tell me everything, whether it's a problem or whatever. Anyway, everything about you and don't ever lie, let alone cover it up." said Axel at length times high. Alicia laughed and nodded in response.

A brief laugh made the man's head wrinkled confusedly "What's so funny Al?" while turning Alicia's body locking her between her hands. He rests on the balcony railing.

Alicia pinched Axel's cheeks "You are very funny, I only said two sentences and you have answered very long".

A smile returned to her pretty face.

"I feel lucky to have you by my side. I'm grateful you didn't give up on me. I... I like you and your presence by my side Ax".

Axel was happy to hear that and rubbed the head of the woman he loved "Remember what I said, you have to be honest with me, even if there is a very bitter lie you have to stay honest with me" Axel said. Alicia smiled and nodded her head in response.

Their relationship becomes stronger than ever. To be honest, Alicia also didn't expect herself to like Axel, whom she already considered as a friend. But she is really happy to have this man. It's like dating a friend. From earlier this man also did not stop carving a happy smile on his handsome face.

Axel is very happy that his love is unrequited. He will take care of Alicia seriously, especially from Dave, who he thinks is strange lately. Especially after the announcement of their engagement.

On the other hand there is a woman who is spoiled while embracing half of a man's body. Samantha, who had a pile of unanswered thoughts and questions, made herself even more worried. "Dave, can I ask you something?" he said while looking at his male face.

Dave's gaze turned to look at Samantha indicating that he was inviting his woman to ask. "Just to the point, what made you act so weird these days?" Samantha said while seeing the change in Dave's face.

"Especially when Alicia is around..." continued Samantha waiting for an answer. The man who was being asked still felt a thump in his chest when the woman's name was called.

"Nothing.." Dave paused looking at Samantha who was waiting for him to finish his sentence. "Only....resolving unfinished problems" explained Dave ambiguously which made his fiancé frown even more.

"What's the problem? Why don't you tell me??" asked Samantha, demanding a definite answer from the man. Dave knew there was no way he could say that he just realized his feelings for Alicia, of course it would hurt the woman who had accompanied him for the past two years.

"It's not that big... it's just a problem when we were at school that we don't like each other now. This also concerns Axel. We used to be friends," explained Dave while examining Samantha's face so he would believe her and stop asking her again.

It was seen that Samantha seemed to believe Dave's explanation "Oh, no wonder I see the three of you don't seem suddenly hostile, there must be something" Samantha said softly. "Hope you two make up soon" Sam said as he kissed his fiancé's cheek.

Dave knows he is selfish on the one hand he is comfortable with Sam who has been with him for the past 2 years. On the other hand, he also wanted her. He shouldn't think of Alicia for everything he'd done to hurt her before. But he just wanted to fight and try at least a little to see if the woman's feelings for him still remained.

If he was still there, he was ready to take her from Axel. He doesn't care if he breaks up the family relationship his parents built. But if there's nothing left then he backs off and will forget his feelings.

Indeed, he has always been a coward, not daring to pursue and always denial of his feelings by continuing to act as a jerk in front of Alicia.

Recently he has been having frequent flashbacks to the past, where he used to be cold, indifferent and rude to Alicia before. He did it all for one reason. Give in because he knows Axel likes Alicia.
