Incredible Love (ENGLISH VERSION)

CHAPTER TWELVE

Freeze. Alicia's mind and heart suddenly being stopped because of Dave's sudden embrace. There was a soft pleading whisper beside Alicia's ear. "Am... am I too late?"

Realization coming back made Alicia shake her head slowly "There was never a word from us from the beginning and there was never a beginning between us" said Alicia firmly.

Dave tightened his embrace, making Alicia embarrassed and trying to pull free the hand that was smothering her. There was a knock on the door from outside. "Al, it's still a long time? I'm here because you don't come back" said Axel.

Alicia, who heard Axel's voice, immediately cheered up and thought this was a good opportunity. "Xelllll... I'm inside and open the door. There's Dave locking it up...!" Alicia screamed which made the man behind her hug her even tighter. "Al can't we talk for a while.. please.." begged Dave.

To be honest, Alicia wants to straighten up and finish all of this. So that in the future Dave doesn't bother him anymore. But for some reason, inside and out, he already felt very bored and tired of talking to that man. Seeing that he was already lazy. Maybe she just didn't care about him anymore.

On the other hand, Axel, who heard this, widened his eyes and immediately looked for the restaurant employees to get a spare key.

"Your time is only until Axel opens the door," Alicia said, trying to let go of Dave's hand that was holding her. He suddenly thought of his fiancé. Alicia is determined not to hurt Axel anymore, maybe this can prove that she is serious about marrying Axel. "No Dave! Enough! Be friends, talk, or face to face. I can't! I will only consider you as a distant relative, indeed your parents have become my family's old friends. That's it!"

"Realize yourself! This is not you! The true you is Dave who is cold, selfish, tough and loves Samantha!!" said Alicia almost shrieking.

"This is me Al! I just realized in the last few days that.. you've always been in my mind and heart...." Dave weakly replied because he realized there was no chance for him anymore. "I know I'm a coward and a jerk! When you were engaged and I was also engaged, I just realized it.." Dave said, finally shedding tears.

"Enough! I really have reached my limit Dave. Don't make me hate you even more! I'm happy now! You heard HAPPY! I beg you one last time don't ruin my happiness and our family especially" Alicia said no less seriously.

"The last effort you have to do is to continue as your role as Alicia's fiancé and return to the way Dave used to be who never cared about me and my existence," Alicia said with a piercing look.

There was the sound of a door being opened and the figure Alicia was waiting for appeared. Indicates the talking time between Dave and Alicia has ended.

Before stepping towards Axel "Your time is up, I don't want another conversation on another day. I hope there won't be another cloth meeting until my wedding day." said Alicia, turning her body towards her fiancé who had stretched out his arms ready to hug her.

Alicia gave him a quiet look thanking him for coming just in time. Axel hugged Alicia and pressed their lips together and after that they left Dave who froze where he witnessed the intimacy of the two of them that instant.

End. Late. He did not have time to start and struggle. Even the opportunity is no longer there for him. Maybe this is the punishment he should feel. Tears fell again from the man's eyes. He's really fragile right now. Dave felt immense remorse.
