Dear no one,
Where was she when I felt pain
so strongly that I couldn't breathe?
Where was she when all those drugs
came in contact with me.
When I felt my throat burn with
the sensation of liquor.
When I felt like a hurricane messing
up everyones life's.
She's here now. And that's all that
matters. She's all that matters.
- Ashton"How come you've never spoken of your parents before?" She asked as I ran my fingers through her hair while she laid her head on my lap.
"they're dead" she suddenly froze and stared at me.
"I'm so sorry I didn't know" her innocent voice said while I continued to mess with her hair.
"I could've stopped it. While I was out intoxicated with drugs and alcohol some asshole who was also intoxicated went into my house and...." I stopped for a moment. The memory coming clear to me.
"You don't have to tell me it's okay I understand"
"and then murdered them... But he didn't only kill them, he murdered my hopes in finding a happy ending. It doesn't exist. I know it doesn't" She sat up and stared at me deep in the eyes as she said,
"I used to think happy endings were a bunch of bullcrap too, until I came across you. But this... Ashton, we're making our own happy ending."
