Rain rolled over, turned off his alarm, and blinked at the sun coming through the window. "P'Phayu?" he called out, sitting up and stretching. Assuming Phayu was downstairs making breakfast, Rain walked to the bathroom to get ready for school.

Finished, Rain headed downstairs only to find an empty floor. No Phayu. Rain checked his watch but it was still too early for Phayu to have left for work. Sometimes Phayu would leave before Rain but he always made sure to tell Rain before bed so he wouldn't worry. But Phayu hadn't said anything to Rain, at least, not that Rain could remember. And, to be fair, sometimes he would forget. So he checked his phone for a message, knowing that Phayu also left texts for Rain in case he forgot.

Rain retraced the events of yesterday in his head, trying to remember if Phayu had told him something and he had forgotten it, which happened frequently. Woke up. Breakfast. Phayu went to work. He went to school. Met Phayu at the garage. Studied with Phayu. Reward. Bed. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Rain sifted through his mind, desperate to remember any detail from the night before.

(Night prior)

Rain sat at his desk in the corner of the garage near Phayu's workstation. Phayu had set up a study area for Rain so he could keep him company in the evenings. A few months ago, Rain had invited Phayu to a therapy session and they had outlined things Phayu could do to support him. It had been awkward at first sitting there talking so matter-of-factly about his challenges, but Phayu seemed so happy to be included, Rain quickly got past his insecurities.

Phayu had hinted numerous times that he wanted to attend a session, but never actually asked. When Rain had finally asked Phayu to come along, Phayu's face had lit up, "Really? Are you sure, because I don't have to. Don't feel like you have to invite me. But, really? I can come? Can I ask questions? Or should I sit quietly? I don't want to intrude..."

Rain had laughed out loud, grabbing Phayu's shoulders, "Breathe. Yes, I really want you to come. I thought about it and talked it over with her. And yes, Phi, you can ask questions."

Phayu had been nervous the entire week leading up to the appointment. He went back to constantly telling Rain how much he loved him and how excited he was. But Rain knew that Phayu was actually worried about going. He tried to reassure Phayu that it would be fine. Low stress. Just a chat really. A brainstorming session to talk about ways Phayu could help Rain study, remember things, worry less. Rain could tell that his reassurances weren't helping much and figured he just had to let Phayu be nervous. He probably would be too if the roles were reversed.

Afterwards, Rain could feel the tension leave Phayu, replaced with a conviction to put in place their new plan. Phayu loved routines and rules. So, he set them up and Rain let him. Phayu arranged designated study and design spaces for Rain with all the supplies he might need at both the garage and at home. He would read Rain's textbooks to him before bed, highlighting the important details as he went, so Rain could review later. He quizzed him at work. Texted him reminders. Set alarms. Left notes for him. Rain found it all not only helpful but adorable as well.

Last night, Phayu had quizzed him in preparation for his exam next week. Rain got a smile and "good boy" when he got one right. When he was wrong, he simply got an explanation of why his answer was wrong, which wasn't often.

Phayu had whispered in his ear at the end of the night, "Time to reward my smart boy."

They hadn't even made it home, instead Phayu had pulled Rain upstairs to the bed at the garage. Phayu had stripped both of them of clothes and all but threw Rain onto the bed, quickly crawling up the bed and covering Rain's body with his own. Sucking on Rain's neck and chest, he whispered, "my good boy, my smart boy, love you so much," over and over. Phayu began sucking hard enough on his neck to leave marks the next day. Rain moaned at the thought, loved showing up at school covered in Phayu's ownership. Loved others knowing how much Phayu wanted him and was his alone.

Phayu's hand reached down, closing around Rain's cock while he almost painfully tugged at Rain's nipples with his teeth. "Phi, please," escaped Rain's mouth in a hushed moan. Phayu pulled the lube from under their pillow and grabbed Rain's hips, flipping him onto his stomach. Phayu licked at his lower back while slowly slipping one, two, then three fingers inside him. Rain moaned into the pillow, rubbing himself on the sheets attempting to gain friction.

"I'm ready Phi, please" Phayu hauled him up by the hips, placing his hand on Rain's head to keep it pushed into the pillows. "Stay like this," Phayu ordered, Rain nodding his head, all but smothered by the pillow. Phayu pushed into him in one motion, stealing Rain's breath with the immediate fullness. The pace set by Phayu was slow since this was Rain's reward and he loved it slow. As Rain neared orgasm, he felt Phayu's hand curl under him and begin to stroke him. Rain shuddered, cumming onto the sheets below him, as Phayu sped up, chasing his own orgasm.

Afterwards, they showered and headed home, curling up together in bed. Rain remembered falling asleep almost immediately. The next thing he remembered was waking up this morning. No memory of Phayu telling him about a change of plans this morning. Rain checked his phone again and then searched for a note. Nightstand? No. Bathroom mirror? No. Kitchen table? No. Refrigerator door? No. On top of Rain's bag? No.

Embarrassed that would have to call Phayu to ask, Rain paced back and forth before pressing Phayu's contact.

Phayu answered immediately, "Is my baby boy awake and ready for school?"

"I am, but where are you Phi?" Rain asked nervously.

"What do you mean, I'm ....... Oh, wait." The line grew quiet, Rain waiting for Phayu to continue.

"P'Phayu? Hello?" Rain finally asked.

"Um, Rain, I'm at my parent's house. I left early this morning. I think that I might have ...... forgotten to tell you? I'm so sorry. Did I worry you? I can't believe I didn't tell you. Owwww! Mom, don't hit me."

In the background, Rain heard Phayu's mom, "What do you mean you forgot to tell him? It's bad enough you didn't bring him but now I hear you didn't even tell him? What a rude boyfriend you are."

Rain giggled into the phone, imagining the scene on the other end of the phone. "I apologize on behalf of my son Rain! I raised him better than this!" she yelled out as Rain heard Phayu groan.

"Rain, are you mad? I really didn't mean to. I promise. I guess I forgot. After last night, well you fell asleep so quickly. Although I should've told you earlier in the afternoon. Or anytime over the evening. I can't believe I did this. I really am so sorry if I worried you," Phayu rambled on until he heard Rain break out into laughter.

"Rain? Are you..... laughing?"

"I am. I mean, it's pretty funny P'Phayu."

"Funny?" asked Phayu.

"It's always me forgetting everything Phi. For once, it's you and I find it funny," Rain explained, still giggling. He knew he shouldn't laugh since Phayu was so stressed about his mistake, but Rain couldn't help it.

"Oh, so you're not mad?"

"No Phi, I'm not. But I wonder if I'll need to design a plan for you. You know, to help you remember things too?" Rain smiled hearing Phayu laugh in response.
