You and Maya were currently playing a game of hide an seek. This was always usually after her mother's scoldings along with royal life, which in her words "doesn't suit her." You get bothered by this sometimes but you let slide. Most of the time her hideouts involved sneaking to your house and dragging you to the forest.

On this day you guessed it was really bad because she came to your doorstep, tears threatening to spill. You didn't even question and gently grabbed her hand heading to the forest.

Now you were searching for her in every nook and cranny as it was your turn. You readied your weapon as you held it tight in your hand. Ah yes! I forgot to mention that your version of hide and seek was more... violent. But still fun. It was was like usual hide and seek except once the seeker has found the hider, they fight until one of them loses, making the person who lost the hider.

After a while you got tired of walking and sat down leaning on a tree. But this was a bad decision on your part since someone else was already accompanying the tree.

(Y/N)'s POV
Man this is boring. Either I'm a really bad seeker or Maya is a good hider. Nevertheless, I sat and leaned on a tree to regain my energy. Closing my eyes I forgot all about game and went to sleep...

Until I felt a swift breeze pass above my head, hitting the tree. Quickly getting up I got into a fighting stance to see Maya with a mischievous grin, pulling her sword out of the tree.

————Time skip—————

Flopping down on the forest floor I glanced up at Maya to do the same. She laid next to me letting out a heavy sigh. "Well do you feel better now?"

Maya just rolled her eyes and smiled at me "yeah I guess... I just wish my life wasn't so controlled."she said as she got closer to rest her head on my head. I hummed and said "I don't know, I mean your mom might be right-"

"Oh please, not you too!" She gets off me and stomps off to another part of the forest near to where we were and I get up to follow her. "Maya please listen to me just this once!" She jumps a little at me raising my voice, not expecting it. I realized what I just did and took a deep breath through my nose.

"Listen, I know you want to live the life of a warrior, but you can't just go off on some dream and leave your people behind. You have a responsibility to care for." I gently cupped her cheeks as she looked down sadly.

Usually being the stubborn girl that she is,she would fight me on this. But I guess she was starting to realize she has to accept her fate. I don't like being the bearer of bad news, but it has to be said. It hurts me to see her like this though. "But... just know that whatever happens, I will be with you every step of the way." With that I gave Maya a tight hug as I felt her warm tears on my shoulder. She pulled away from the hug and leaned closer as well as me until our lips touched.

After we kissed for a while we held each other's hands. "So same place tomorrow?" Maya said as she looked up at me. "Yup!" I said popping the p. As we arrived to her home her older brothers looked down at us from their room, specifically glaring at me.

"Ah I see Maya's brought a little friend." One of the brothers sneered while the other two looked at each other and snickered. "Ay ya cállense hermanos!" Maya whisper shouted with an angry look on her face. Her face softened though when she turned to me.

"Sorry about them there a little...enthusiastic." I chuckled at her change in mood and pecked her lips, causing her brothers to gasp. "Right well then see you tomorrow hermosa!" I laughed as she made a swooning face and turned around to head to my place waving them all goodbye.

As I was leaving I heard Maya's brothers laugh as she shushed them.

"Ooh Maya's got a little boyfriend/girlfriend/lover~ooooh!"
