COME & TALK TO ME IMANI NICOLE DEVAN, or as few know her simply Imani, was far from the average teen. Sweet, often in her head, Imani gravitated to those who supported her ambitions and that is something she would forever be grateful for. With a religious upbringing at her front once a student at Georgia State, she soon realized that becoming a teacher wouldn't benefit her in the slightest way possible and she was only doing it because her parents wanted it. She truly yearned to become a singer and so, the soon-to-be, young woman venturing in her twenties mustered the courage to send a makeshift demo tape to a couple of labels, one being in the heart of Atlanta, LaFace Records. Sadly, her image wasn't something they wanted, and the dream there became a dead end. Knowing she took a big leap in wanting a music career, things finally changed when Uptown Records, a label based in New York contacted her. Things eventually come full circle and it is not easy as she has to learn how to balance everything from the industry, inner circles, friendship, and what most crave — love.

AUTHOR'S NOTE.
Welcome to a brand new version of 'Come & Talk To Me' It's been well over a year since this book was released and I feel the need to just refresh, reset, and do it justice because of the ongoing love it continues to receive over time.
Letting it be known that nobody's perfect and I'm not attempting to make them appear as perfect because no human living on this earth is perfect and I'm telling you this now so you don't end up being like "well why they acting like this" now you know why. Let's bring on the celebrity drama and lifestyle.
