Kim Minji POV

[Flashback]

The moment that familiar man entered the hall, my breathing stop.

“Minji dear, this is Suho. He will be your fiancee.” Mother said. “Suho? I barely know him. How can I marry someone I didn’t really met before?”

And then, that man suddenly bowed down to me. “It’s been a while, Minji.” I looks at him confused. It’s been a while? What? Have I met him before?

“You see, you and Suho had grew up together since you were baby. You two attended in the same school in preschool and elementary school. But unfortunately, your father had a business in UK, so you had no choice but to transfer to the school in UK.”

I don’t get it. What mother was trying to say? I already known him since we were kids?

“Then why didn’t I remember him?” I asked. I don’t even recall being friends with him, unless mother made up the story.

“Don’t you remember 16 years ago?”

I raised my eyebrows at her. I breathed in slowly before answering her. “Remember what?”

“You had a tragic car accident in UK. Because of that, your father decided to cancel the business expansion in UK he had been planning and transferred you to the hospital in South Korea to do a surgery. The doctor told us that you were doing well after the surgery, but some of your memories are gone. That’s why you don’t remember your childhood memories. The friends you made during your elementary school. And even you don’t remember meeting Suho.” That’s right, I remember now. I had a car accident many years back. I have a scar on my chest due to it. This scar always reminds me of the accident I had.

“Tch.” I clicked my tongues and started leaving the hall.

“Minji? Where are you going, honey?”

“Unnie!”

Mother and Yubin were calling me, but I ignored them and proceeding to exit the hall but a hand suddenly grip on me. I stopped and turned around, and of course it was Suho.

“Minji, is it true you can’t remember me?” He asked as he was staring at me softly. I yanked my hand away from him. “Don’t go touching a woman, you pervert.” I said coldly and exit the hall.

When I was about to go get my car, Yubin was calling me. I turned around sharply to see her running up to me.

“Unnie, why didn’t you obey mother?” She asked as she finally stood in front of me.

I crossed my arms over my chest. “What? Me being forced marrying with a man, with someone that I can’t even remember? Was that the reason why you and ‘her' having affair behind my back?” She should know who I'm referring to. I just don’t want to mention her name.

“No, unnie. You got this all wrong. She didn’t cheat on you. She had lost her feelings for you.”

I laughed sarcastically. “If she don’t love me anymore, why bother dating me? She can just break up with me and you can do whatever you want with her.”

“But unni-” I was so mad at her, I don’t even want to hear her reason anymore.

I opened the door, got in and slammed the door angrily before I started driving.

[Back to presence]

I sighed as I was sitting on my king-sized bed with a glass of wine in my hand. That was the reason why I suddenly had a bad migraine. I hate the idea of me getting married with random man. I get it that I known him since kids, and I used to be closed with him since he’s my childhood friend, but I lost some of my memories. So now, he is a stranger to me.
