“Lady Boss?” She didn’t respond to me. She was staring at me. I can’t tell what she was feeling right now. Her face was cold and expressionless, but then I see her eyes was now looking at my lip which make my heart suddenly fluttered.

Thump, Thump.

My heart couldn’t stop beating loudly the more our eyes met.

“You really are clumsy, Puppy.” With that raspy voice, she spoke.

Puppy? Me?

I quickly stood up properly and pushing her hand away from me.

“I'm fine now. Thank you.” I thanked her and she nod. She then stood beside me, her body was facing toward the scenery.

“Not going home?” She asked.

I was about to go home though, after taking a pic of the sunset.

“I was going to go home after taking a fresh air here.” I said and then smile. “What about you? Not going home?”

“No, got a lot of work to do.” She answered and I nod. Must be tough being a CEO of the company.

“I see, then I should get going home first. See you at work tomorrow.” She didn’t reply but just nodded. I quietly walked passed her, approaching the exit of the rooftop. Before I exit, I looks back at her. Surprisingly, she was also looking at me. So I smile and exit the rooftop garden to go home.

It’s been a few days since that day, me and Minji-I mean Lady Boss didn’t talk much. We were just doing our own works in the office.
The only time we talked is when she gave me some tasks to do. Other than that, we don’t really say anything.

And Gahyeon was sent out by Lady Boss to do some HR works for her. So I couldn’t get to see her for the past few days.

But one of the days, Gahyeon managed to come-by to our office. She couldn’t stop complaining about her tasks given by Lady Boss which is unusual for her. Because she is the type who did not complain whenever she got tasks from the Lady Boss herself.

But then, the said woman appeared in front of us. She didn’t even look at me but her eyes was on Gahyeon. She gave another set of tasks to Gahyeon and Gahyeon quickly leave the office without complaining to Lady Boss since she didn’t dare to do so. The only time me and the Lady Boss make eyes contact is before she went back to her office. It was only three seconds.

Weird, why did Lady Boss suddenly overworked Gahyeon? It’s as if the Lady Boss didn’t want me to be with her…

I was wondering about the reason why the Lady Boss suddenly gave so many tasks to Gahyeon. What Gahyeon told me the other day, Lady Boss would never gave her too much tasks. Most of her tasks was through online. But now, nearly everyday she went out to either collect some equipments or to do delivery to clients or customers.

This is strange…what’s going on in Minji’s mind anyway?

Until one of the days, we got summoned by the Lady Boss herself in the Meeting Hall.

Of course everyone was scared of the Lady Boss, so they were paying attention while I couldn’t care less anyway. She was talking about the sales revenue of the MJ Corporation. It was not doing well, I guess.

And then, there was something hit on my forehead. It’s was a marker. I looked in front. It was the Lady Boss. She stared at me coldly. I couldn’t tell if she was mad at me or not.

“Ms Kim Yoohyeon, I already called you many time, and yet, you didn’t respond to me, hm?” She said.

“Are you perhaps daydreaming? You know, I do hate daydreamers.”
