You felt your eye twitch as you continued to read the script in your hands. How could one of your favorite character die in the hands of a lowly adeptus? This adeptus wasn't even under the Guili Assembly as well!
You let out a small sigh, throwing your head back. Work has been stressful lately with all the leaks being posted on social media. That's right, you work at miHoYo, editing and writing scripts with others as your main job.
The script in your hands was given to you by a co-worker. The storyboard writer was in charge of writing about how Guizhong was slain and who was behind it. You expected the goddess to be killed by a lesser god, but not an adeptus!
The adeptus' identity is unknown, but information about them was already written down. They were working under an insane minor god, the god of rain, who had a small army of adepti under him. They worked as a double-spy, hiding in the Guili Assembly for their master. During the war, they dealt the final blow to Guizhong and ended her life.
Later on, they would be tracked down by the Guili Assembly in revenge for their fallen comrade. Their death was gruesome from what you read, the adeptus being forced to enter a contract of suffering under Rex Lapis.
Their death was by língchí, "death by a thousand cuts". They were kept alive for centuries until finally dying to a final blow from Alatus.
This adeptus would later be known as the Adeptus Scum.
How obscene! This writer thought that it would be a good idea to allow this kind of gore in the game!? You grunted in displeasure, feeling a migraine forming in your head.
