A man looked down at the small hand, tiny fingers wrapped around his pointer finger. Nothing. He felt nothing as he gazed down at the little figure in his arms. Even if the heavens crashed aground, even if the seven hells collapsed, he would never feel anything for this child. How could he when the only person he has loved isn't in this life?
Why did he get with this woman if he loved another then? He doesn't know. All he remembers were the words that he would be okay.
Every story he has read, saw, experienced, has been told to others. The stupid <Star Stream> has seen it. The dumb, immortalized beings have seen it.
Except for one. One that barely gets read, yet so loved by few.
□ □'s story. His story. Their story.
Why did he have to go through this life again? Why did he have to relive the 2nd regression with the same knowledge as before?
A pale hand rested on his arm, the same arm that cradled the wrapped bundle in his arms. He glanced down at the woman beside him.
Lifeless dark orbs met his own.
He only hummed, handing back the baby to the mother. Soft fingers ripped off from calloused ones. The man then turned, not wanting to look at the two.
The woman hugged her child closer, feeling her heart drop to her stomach. As if it was clawed at by a ferocious monster. She knew.
She knew. She remembers. She knows, of course she knows. She knows the very person the man yearns for, the person who everyone here somehow remembers in this world. So why couldn't she help but want the man to love her like the last 2nd turn?
