Nathalie's eyes focused on Marinette's hands. They have wounds that surely are going to leave some scars if they don't get treatment soon. She sighed as she put down the box that she was holding. Marinette was curious of what was in it. Nathalie carefully grabbed her shoulders to help her sit up against the wall. Marinette did not do anything against it. "I have seen what Gabriel is doing to you. And it is horrible." Nathalie said as Marinette stared at the ground. Nathalie felt bad for Marinette. She was just a child! She didn't deserved all of this.

~Marinette's Pov~

Why would Nathalie help me? But then i realized something. "Were you the former Peacock Miraculous holder, Mayura?" i asked in a broken voice. Nathalie sighed. "Yes, i worked for Gabriel. To bring Adrien's mother back." Nathalie paused. "But now i've realized that Gabriel is doing this out off madness. And i am ready to change!" she continued.

I gave Nathalie a small smile before turning away again. Atleast someone was here on my side. Suddenly Nathalie grabbed something out of the box that she had placed besides me. I tried to focus my blurry vision as best as i could to see what she held. It was a sandwich and a bottle of water! It was food! My eyes widened as Nathalie gave it to me. My shaky hands immediantely grabbed the bottle of water and the sandwich. Quickly i started to munch on the sandwich.

Nathalie explained that she alway wanted Adrien to be happy again. And that she made a huge mistake by helping Gabriel as i was eating my sandwich. I felt kinda bad for Nathalie. Everything she did was for Adrien. She never meant to be a villain. As soon as i finished my sandwich Nathalie looked at my hands with a worried look. Before i could say anything, Nathalie grabbed a band-aid and some kind of liquid that i don't recognize out of the box.

Nathalie wrapped the band-aid around my injured hands after cleaning the wounds. "You really don't have to do this." i said. Nathalie looked in my eyes. "Marinette, you deserve this." Nathalie answered. Even tho this woman is not showing much emotion on the outside, i could feel that she was breaking apart from the inside. When Nathalie was done with my hands, she quickly looked at her phone to see how late it was. "Listen, Gabriel has a mission for you tomorrow. This could be your only chance to find help." Nathalie quickly explained. "But-" i said as Nathalie cut me off before i could finish. "You need to send Cat Noir and Scarabella signs showing that you are in danger." she finished.

Nathalie got up in a hurry. "I have to go before Gabriel gets here.." she said. I was dissapointed that she needs to leave that soon. But she was right. Nathalie left the room where i was kept in. "I see you got to know my former holder!" a excited voice shrieked behind me. It was my kwami, Duusuu!

~Adrien's Pov~

Transformed into Cat Noir, i jumped around on the rooftops of Paris. The sun had already dissapeared as the street lights were turned on. The streets were filled with water from a heavy storm. That was when i realized that it was going to be Christmas soon. I completely forgot about it! But it didn't excite me. Not without her.

A Christmas without Marinette broke my heart. I remembered having loads of Christmas gifts from my parents on Christmas day. But the only gift that matters to me the most was bringing back Marinette. Even tho i search every day, not a clue from her was shown. I couldn't imagen of what her parents were going through. A Christmas without their beloved daughter probably doesn't even feel like Christmas.

I felt hopeless as i sat down on a random rooftop just before my patrol. I spotted multiple missing posters of Marinette. And the moment when she was reported missing, she even made it to the news. It seems like everything reminds me of Marinette.  I felt much better letting the tears stream down my cheeks. But the time seems to be running by fast. I didn't have much time left before patrolling with Scarabella is starting.

I wasn't happy with seeing Scarabella again after that fight. But i didn't have a choice. When i finally arrived, i realized that i am late. She had mad look on her face, making me feel even more bad about myself. "I'll patrol the left side, you will go right. I will meet you back here in a half hour." she said irritated. Before i could say anything, she jumped away. She didn't even let me apologize from what happened last time. Soon, i also left our meeting point to patrol my side of the city.

It became soon really dark. The street lights on some places weren't working, so it was just pitch black. Every abandoned house made me feel uncomfortable due to the insuffent lightning. A half hour later, Scarabella and i met up at the meeting point again. "My side is clear." i said. "Same for me.." she mumbeled. I sighed at Scarabella's behavior. It is my fault that she is acting like this.. "I am sorry about what happened last time.." i apologized,

Scarabella's head lit up. But then she looked away again in full of regret. "I am sorry to, i should've handeled the situation better." she said. Handeled the situation better? I was the one who started the fight, and now she is the one apologizing?! "No, this was my fault. I shouldn't had been so harsh for you." i quickly said. Scarabella sighed but then she gave me a small smile. "I have to go. See you soon, Cat Noir!" she said as she jumped away. I wasn't sure that things are right now, or not. But i hope that she accepted my apology. After some time jumping around Paris, i finally went back home.
