Noa felt the mattress moving beside her. She rolled to her side and opened her eyes. Daryl was sat on the edge of the bed. She slowly sat up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.

"I was about to wake you up I swear", he said turning his face to her. "Rick needs hands outside". Noa was about to get up but Daryl stopped her. "Sleep a little more, you're exhausted"

"I want to be useful", Noa replied getting up and walked to the corner of the cell in order to get her clothes.

"Then stay and help Lori inside", Daryl joined her and placed his hand on the small of her back.

Noa stepped away from him, upset. "Okay, tell me what's going on", she placed her hands on her hips.

"I just want you to rest god", he said embarrassed. He was trying to show that he cared for her.

"I'm fine! I don't need to rest, Daryl!", she exclaimed. She was lying. She was indeed exhausted. She couldn't close her eyes for more than two hours without thinking of that man at the bar.

"No you're not, don't try to lie to me!", he took his crossbow. He started making his way out the cell but turned toward her before. "Little reminder, we share the same bed". He saw the confused look on Noa's face and continued. "I know that you can't sleep anymore, you have nightmares all night Noa"

"Well I'm aware of that Sherlock!", she was mad. Maybe because he knew her too well or maybe because she couldn't hide her weakness.

Daryl just scoffed. "You're staying inside with Lori today", and on that he went outside.

Noa watched him get out of the prison as her eyes drifted on Carl on the stairs of the cell block. He looked preoccupied. She searched in her bag if she had anything to eat and found a protein bar.

She quickly made her way toward him and sat by his side. "Hey you", Noa said smiling.

"Hey...", he replied. Something was off.

Noa opened the protein bar and cut it in half to then give him a piece. "Everything's alright?"

Carl took the protein bar, sighing. "You had a little brother, right?", he asked hesitant.

Noa looked away and took a bit of her protein bar. "Aiden". She looked back at Carl. "His name was Aiden", she said smiling faintly.

"Was it hard? To be the older sibling I mean", Carl looked quickly at his mother then looked back at Noa.

"It can be, plus you have Lori and Rick to help you", she replied, looking at him. "You'll be an amazing big brother Carl, trust me"

Lori and Beth walked in at this moment. All four they went to Hershel's cell. Lori had found crutches for him.

They went outside so Hershel could try to walk. Noa saw Daryl from far away behind the fences. They looked at each other a few seconds before Carl screamed. "Walkers! Look out!"

Everyone took out their guns and started shooting at them. But there were too many. Hershel and Beth went in a direction. T-dog and Carol in another. And Maggie, Lori, Carl and Noa in one more.

The cell block was full of walkers obliging the four of them to turn back. They were now in the prison's hallways when Lori stopped. The baby was coming. Walkers too, they needed a safe place now.

Lori and Maggie were on the floor of the mechanic room while Noa stayed with Carl, comforting him. Lori was about give birth. "Noa! I need help!", Maggie exclaimed.

Noa kneeled down before Carl. "I'm going to help Maggie okay?", the boy nodded and she went quickly beside Maggie.

They'll have to cut her open. Lori wasn't going to survive and she knew it. She was saying goodbye to Carl while Noa was holding Maggie's hand. It's going to be hard but they're not alone.

Carl handed his knife to Maggie. "I'm sorry", she said before starting caesarean. Lori screamed and Carl followed her.

"Noa I need your hands" Noa wiped her tears then approached Lori's belly with her hands in order to help Maggie.

Once the baby out, Carl handed his jacket to wrap it around it. "We have to go", Maggie said, getting up.

"We can't just leave her here. She'll turn", Carl said, getting up as well.

"He's right", Noa said. "I'll do it"

"No"

"Carl...", the two women said.

"She's my mom.", he said, getting his gun out.

Noa and Maggie couldn't say anything about it. It was in fact his mom. So they both made their way out. They quickly got caught up by a gunshot and Carl.

As they got out the prison they caught the attention of the other. The attention of Rick. Maggie was holding the baby, sobbing, while Noa was in the same state with an hand on Carl's shoulder.

They couldn't imagine how Rick felt. "Where- where is she?", he first asked Maggie. "Where is she?", he then asked Noa.

And he understood.

Daryl and Maggie went on a run in order to find formula. While waiting Noa took care of the baby. Everyone was busy but she didn't complain though.

She was admiring her as Daryl and Maggie came back. Daryl walked to her and took the baby. "Shh Shh" Beth gave him a baby bottle and he started feeding the new born. He chuckled and looked at Noa as it has stopped crying. "You like that uh? Little ass kicker"

"When were you gonna tell me you were so good with kids", Noa said, caressing Daryl's cheek.

"That's not important and i'm not that good", he replied, closing his eyes.

Noa couldn't stop but asking herself if Daryl wanted kids later. She always wanted kids but in the actual situation, could they?

"Stop thinking and sleep", Daryl said then wrapped an arm around Noa's waist.

Now wasn't the moment anyway for this conversation. After what happened to Lori even more. Noa got closer to Daryl and closed her eyes.
