In a small village located in the far south of Japan, lived a little girl, with her small family.

The small house which they lived in, where her mother, father, and younger brother.

Her father, who was a brunette with hazel eyes, was a busy worker. He would wake up first thing in the morning to go to the heart of the city to cell vegetables which they grew in their front yard. He then would come back home very late, bringing back what he wasn't able to sell.

Her mother, who had blonde hair and blue eyes, worked hard as well, but at home. She was taking care of a 10 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. She was responsible of house chores, growing the plants, her children's education and etiquette.

The family was far from civilization, having only a few houses around theirs, but only neighbors living next door to them.

They were a old married couple, in their late 80's. Enjoying their lives in peace and quiet.

Her mother Edith, would provide them with food and occasionally invite them to their house for supper.

Her father Kiyoshi, would fix any broken things in their house, since they had no one to repair anything.

As for the children, they brought light and joy.

For not having many neighbors, and not being able to afford going to school, the two kids had only each other.

It was only a few weeks later before a new family arrived, and bought the house in front of theirs.

The brother and sister peaked through their living room window to see who were the new neighbors.

There were two women, who had a lot of resemblance, whom they thought were possibly sisters, and a small boy, with dirty beige hair and emerald eyes.

He was holding one of the woman's hand, and looked around their age.

A few days later, after the family settled in, the girl's parents invited them over to their house.

One of the woman's name, who the boy couldn't let the hand go of, was Shina. She had dirty beige hair as well and light brown eyes. The other who was the boy's aunt from the father's side, was Rose, who had light brown hair and green eyes.

Their story seemed tragic and sad, which consisted of the boy's father dying in a car accident, and them being forced to move out due to not being able to pay the taxes.

The little girl wanted to talk to boy, but he kept hiding behind his mom.

"I think that the kids should go play in the other room while we talk." -suggested Edith to the boy's mom and aunt.

"Yes! I think it would be wonderful for them to become friends! Don't you think so Daiki?" -said Shina looking down at the small boy, who nodded and looked at the small girl.

"Awesome then, sweetie take the little boy to your and your brother's room, make sure he's comfortable and play together a bit." -said Edith looking at the girl.

"Yes mommy." -replied the small girl, reaching her right hand to the boy, who took her hand and they went to the room.

When they walked in the room, the girl's brother already prepared a game for them.

The knight, the prince and the princess.

The girl's brother couldn't stop talking and explaining how to play. His sister helped them to get dressed in the hand crafted costumes, and started playing.

They made up fake names which they called each other through the entirety of the game.

"Sir Bartholomyu, do you swear to protect my sister Princess Gianni from the evil dragon of the enchanted forest?" -said Prince Garu to the knight.

"Yes I do! I solemnly swear to protect my princess no matter what danger I am faced with!" -answered Sir Bartholomyu.

"Dear sister of mine, dear Princess Gianna, do you agree for this knight to protect you from danger for the rest of your life?" -asked the prince to princess Gianna.

"Yes I do!" -answered the princess.

The three giggled as their parents walked in the room, with joy all over their faces.

Unfortunately their role play had to stop.

The little boy's parents thanked theirs, as they were leaving.

Though the small boy ran towards the girl, gave her a hug, and moved her hair out of her face, saying "I'll always be here with you princess.", as he ran back to his parents and left.

The girl couldn't stop blushing, when her little brother gently slapped her in the face.

The two got to helping their mother clean up and went to bed.

The following weeks, the kids from different neighborhoods would come to meet the new boy who moved from the city.

The two wanted to join in their games, but the other kids would push them away, saying hurtful things to them.

Once when the little girl went to say hi to the boy, the other kids kicked her and started punching her on the ground.

Her brother rushed to stop them, fighting back and getting hurt himself, but meanwhile, the boy stood there, looking and not taking any action.

The two siblings wouldn't leave the house after that.

One day, just like most of the time, their mother asked them to fill up two buckets of water from the well a few streets down.

Once they came back to the house, there was no one inside.

They put down their buckets and started searching the house, front to back, but no sight of their parents.

After continuously searching, the boy found a note.

Our lovely children, your father and I are extremely sorry to say this, but we had to leave the house. We talked to our front door neighbor's and decided to start our own business at the heart of the city, but due to the circumstances, we were not allowed to bring our children with us. Do not try to find us, it would be better if you two try to find a new house to stay at. We will try to come and visit you whenever we can.

Love: mom and dad.

Damn, I mean talk about child abandonment.

For your knowing, that is not the actual reason behind them leaving, so keep reading, cause things get better and better.
