Back in Time (A Danganronpa Story)

I will protect you

I awake hearing an alarm of some sort.

Monokuma: "Gooood morning! It is now 7 am, so it's morning tiiiime!"

I sit up with a headache. Ugh... I didn't sleep well.. I get up from bed, almost tripping. I catch myself and sigh as I walk to the door. I exit my room. Maybe I should go to the dining hall. As I walked down the hall, still tired, I accidentally bumped into someone.

Makoto: "Ah! S-sorry! I-"

I looked up to the person I bumped into.

Leon:" Oh! Hey, Makoto. It's fine, don't worry about it."

I smile awkwardly. I forgot how laidback Leon was.

Leon: "Wanna go to the dining hall together?"

Makoto: "Oh, sure!"

Me and Leon walk to the dining hall, making small talk along the way. I was never able to get that close with Leon last time.. it's nice. Im glad I get to talk to him again.

After we got there, some people were already there. Taka, Sakura, Sayaka, Chihiro, Hifumi, and Asahina.

Sayaka: "Makoto! Leon! Good morning!"

Makoto: "Morning Sayaka!"

Leon: "Mornin!"

We said our good morning to everyone else as we waited for everyone else to arrive.

After a few minutes, everyone was in the dining hall.

Ishimaru: "How is everyone doing this morning?" Taka asked with a friendly smile on his face.

Everyone looked at each other and then at Taka.

Junko (Mukuro): "Uhhhh.. I don't think we're doing that well."

Ishimaru: "O-oh! Uhm.. I see.. W-well, we should not take whatever Monokuma told us to heart! This still could be.. something the school is doing!"

Mondo: "Hate to break it to you, Mr. Teacher's pet, but I don't think a school would do something so insane."

Sakura: "I have to agree.. besides, if Hope's Peak were to do this to every freshman, there would've been news about it."

Leon: "That's true.. I don't think it would be left unnoticed. Besides, I feel like people would've sued the school."

It's a little awkward being the only one who knows it's actually real..

Kyoko: "For now, we should be cautious. Find any clues on escaping."

Everyone agreed with Kiri's statement. After our little discussion, we ate our breakfast, and before long, everyone left to search once again.

I sigh. I already know most of the area, but I should look around to see if I missed something.

As I was about to get out of my seat, someone suddenly put their hands on my shoulder as if to scare me. It did scare me....

I jump, startled, and quickly looked to see who scared me.

Sayaka: "Sorry! Hehe, I was just playing around!" Sayaka giggled.

My body relaxed itself, and I smiled, chuckling slightly.
