Chapter 6

"First I've heard of it," Dad tells him.

"Search the freighter," Tasu Leech says.

I start crawling looking for a way out.

"Wait, wait, wait," Rey crawls over to a flow panel. "If we close the blast doors in that corridor we can trap both gangs!"

"We'll close the blast doors from here?" Finn asks.

"If you reset the fuses. Then, yes. It should work," I tell him.

She leans forwards and pushes the fuses.

We all hear a faint Rathtar roar.

"I got a bad feeling about this," I say.

"Oh, no," Rey says.

"'Oh, no,' what?" Finn asks.

"Wrong fuses," she say.

We start frantically crawling.

"This was a big mistake!" Finn yells.

"Huge!" Rey yells back.

Rey opens the hatch and climbs out. I follow, and grab my lightsaber from my belt. We run through the hallways.

"What do they look like?" she asks.

"Big, ugly, slimy," I start and we turn a corner almost run into one. "That!"

Rey covers her mouth and Finn pulls her as we go through a different hallway. They start following us.

"This way!" Finn says.

"Are you sure?" Rey and I ask.

Finn gets pulled back by a Rathtar. He screams.

"Finn!" I yell.

Rey yells. Finn yells. Rey runs towards him and almost gets caught. I run looking for a monitor, Rey follows. I find one and see Finn getting pulled through blast doors. I push a button preparing to shut a blast door hoping to get the tentacle shut in it. I close my eyes and center myself. I open my eyes and push the button to close the blast door. I watch the tentacle get cut in half, and Finn trying to untangle it from himself. Rey takes off running and I try to locate my dad. After a failed attempt I run after her. I meet them and we take off running again. I lead the way to the Falcon, and there was my dad.

"Han," Rey says.

"You, close the door behind us," he tells Rey. "You, take care of Chewie! And Bree, you're with me!"

I race to the cockpit, and Dad powers the ship up.

Rey raced in. "Unkar Plutt installed a fuel pump too. If you don't prime that we aren't going anywhere."

"On it," I say and sit in the co-pilot seat.

"I hate that guy," Dad says.

He sits in the pilot seat doing the takeoff procedure.

"Watch the thrust. We're going out of here at lightspeed," He tells me.

I nod and get ready. Not the craziest thing my dad has ever done.

"From inside the hangar? Is that even possible?" Rey asks from her seat in the back.

"Don't ever ask that question," I tell her.

"Until after I've done it," Dad adds.

A Rathtar starts attempting to eating the cockpit. Rey lets out a yelp. Dad mutters something that I can't here.

I angle the shields. Dad turns to me, but sees I've already done it.

"Hang on back there!" He tells Finn and Chewie.
