Chapter 11

Chewie carries Finn to the medics. I watch the herd of people coming to congratulate and celebrate. I wipe my tears and walk down the ramp.

Poe looks at me. "Are you okay?"

I look at him, and he starts looking around.

"Wher-" I cut him off.

"He's gone, Poe. Gone," I say voice cracking. "It's all my stupid brothers fault."

He stands there, hands on my arms. He embraces me and I bury my face onto his neck. I look up and see my mother. I look at Poe and he lets me go.

"Poe, do me a favor. Go be with Finn," I say walking to her. "I'll meet you there."

He nods and walks after them.

Mom walks towards me as I walk towards her. We both meet and hug.

"I'm so sorry, Mom. It was Ben. Dad tried to get him to come home, but he," I start tearing up again.

Mom looks at Rey before inviting her over. She hugs her. Mom pulls me in and the three of us hug. We stand there for a while.

We were all sitting around in the conference room. Poe and I sat together, in silence. Rey and Chewie sat alone. Mom was leaning over the holo map. While others were spread about. The room was quiet until C-3PO, R2-D2, CB-23, and BB-8 came in.

"General. Excuse me, General," 3PO said. "Artoo-Detoo may contain some much-needed good news."

I get up and walk over to Mom. Poe does the same, as does Chewie and others.

"Tell me," she tells the droid.

R2 projected a holo star chart but the map wasn't complete. BB-8 rolled up to it before rolling back to me and Poe beeping.

Poe bent down. "Yeah. All right, buddy. Hold on."

Poe stood up and took the device from the control. He bent back down and put it back in BB-8. He stood back up as BB rolled to the map. BB projected the missing part of the map, and fit it in the empty space.

"The map. It is complete," C-3PO exclaims.

"Luke," Mom says.

3PO pats R2's head. "Oh, my dear friend, how I've missed you."

The droid beeps and mutters of shock and joy went up around us. I look at Poe before hugging my mom.
