Maeve Castellan is the Goddess of Mischief and shes the protector of demi-gods, due to this when she joined Krones most demi-gods followed. Well Krones won.
Now Maeve and Luke live in Zeus' old Palace with the demi-gods. Krones kept his promise of keeping them all safe and out of his business so they were safe and sound. There were some demi-gods that still couldn't get on board such as Percy Jackson, Will Solace and Annabeth Chase. Maeve was most disappointed in Will's decision as they grew together and were best friends right up until Maeve joined Krones.
Maeve sometimes even rethinks her choice as she sees the sun of Apollo walking around. She doesn't regret it but thinks about things that could be different if she hadn't done what she did, betray the gods.
Those thoughts stop once she sees the almighty son of posiden, in chains as punishment for trying to kill her. Although he failed thanks to her immortality the new 'godly' council thought it was only appropriate to punish him. Now he has chains and can no longer see Annabeth. Some may consider it cruel but Maeve calls it consequences. She herself had to suffer some when joining Krones, for example giving up the title of Goddess of spirts and betrayal and instead being called the goddess of Mischief. Of course its not the worst punishment but she still hated the crap out of it.
